Cavani is a much better player and I find it ridiculous to even argue about it..
As for Zaza vs Lapadula - Of course Zaza is the better player for now as he is also much more proven... BUT 25M could really help boost our spending spree and since Zaza isnt exactly a starter and so isnt Lapadula we are talking about a 4th forward in line! I rather we spend money on starters than on a 4th choice especially if we can get someone who is more of a scorer than him
I agree Serie B is not Serie A and Pescara isnt Juve but take Zaza past and compare it Lapadula is more promising when we are talking goal wise!
Selling Zaza and getting Lapadula gets you 15M to spend on a 1st choice CF SS AM CM DM WR WL or whatever position you look for which is much more important than a 4th choice!
Cavani is better than Mandzukic, not so much that you spend 50M on him and have a slight improvement in quality when you have other needs. Our forward line is fine, there is simply no need to improve it with a WC striker. If one between Morata and Zaza leaves we still have Berardi incoming and 3 other excellent forwards. So Cavani definitely wont be targeted unless his price is between 20 and 30M which qualifies him as an opportunity signing. Lapadula is someone that plays in Serie B. The only good reason to keep him in the team would be if he was a homegrown player, since he is not there is absolutely no reason to downgrade from an Azzuri starting striker to someone who plays in Serie B still at age 26. if he plays well at his next destination where we would loan him out we might bring him back

You're unfair with comparing Zaza and Lapadula. There's a quite big difference in age and it matters a lot.

As for Mandzukic and Cavani: you never count wages while doing your maths. 15m means nothing since you'll have to spend most of it on Cavani's wages. About the rest let's agree to disagree. You're downplaying Mandzukic while overrating Cavani IMO. It's your opinion I'm ok with that.

It doesnt matter if we spend it on Cavani or someone else but those 15M would boost our chances of winning something in europe!

Its important to have depth but its more important to have a great starting 11 as you only play 11 vs 11 and when all fit and we need to fight the likes of Bayern Barcelona Real we will need quality

League titles you win with your bench.

In CL we were thrown out by Bayern who had the better bench.

Everything is relative and your opinion is as good as mine. The bottom line is we're rather unlikely to get Cavani even though we possibly could.

Our bench is strong when everyone is fit. With Bayern we missed Chiellini, Caceres, Marchisio, Lemina and Dybala, and had a barely half fit Pereyra and Asamoah on the bench, so we were thin with options, especially at CM. Khedira also didn't have 90 minutes in his legs and it cost us.

In an ideal world a bench with Neto, Rugani, Caceres, Evra, Lichtsteiner, Lemina, Hernanes, Sturaro, Asamoah, Pereyra, Zaza and Morata is very good. You take out 6-7 players who can contribute to a game and you will feel it.

And yes I know Bayern had some injuries too, although they were all in the same area of the team.

It really is a pity if we cant buy Cuadrado, Morata hopefully stays with us. If we lose on Cuads I expect mercato of Berardi, Andre Gomes and maybe some RB, thats all. With Berardi we will be stacked in the attack so I guess one will have to leave. Prolly Zaza or Morata if we cant find a deal with Real.
Andre Gomes really seems like Paratici/Marotta deal, but if he comes imo we should sell or loan Pereyra.
I will be so excited to watch Berardi, think he can make it big with us. Say what u want as Im from Poland but im all for this ItalJuve project, you can see how Italians respect our jersey which cant always be said about foreign players.
btw how are our winter buys doing? I mean Madragora and Sensi?

Priorities for the summer should be to keep the team together,no wholesale changes. It worked last year but if it wasn't for Cuadrado's goal in stoppages vs Torino the season could have been very different.

Spend whatever it takes to keep Morata, pay the 9m for Lemina and keep Pogba. I'd like to see us keep Cuadrado too but this is looking increasingly unlikely.

Raise funds from Hernanes (hopefully China is interested), cut out losses on Isla. Apart from that our only non-key players of value probably are Zaza, Neto and Sturaro. I'd be disappointed if Zaza and Sturaro went but could understand Neto leaving.

    To sign:

CB/RB (preferably someone who can cover both)
    A technical attacking midfielder
    Berardi
    Backup GK

    Mandragora/Lemina could cover for Marchisio.

    Berardi
    Kovacic(loan with option)
    Yaya Toure(free)
    Götze
    Diawara

    That is all Beppe.

True. but Yaya's wage demands maybe be well outside our pay structure.

Whatever happens, I see our mercato hotting up in the course of the next 14/21 days as many clubs throughout Europe, as their expected finishing positions crystalize, look to engage with clubs like Juventus.

I fully expect Beppe to start negotiations to sign Andre Gomes and, at home, to complete the deal to sign Berardi.

After that, serious negotiations have to take place to strengthen our defence. There will be a need to get an international class right back/right wing back as well as a central defender who is going to further improve our defensive capabilities.

Toure I thought about him before but someone made me change my mind
As for Gotze sure but he wont come
Kovacic is talented but isnt the type I`d like us to get
Diawara sure if possible for a reasonable fee he would be a great coup!

By the way we could easily make Dybala our AM playmaker - I dont see him as prolific as I want him to be for a forward but he is sure prolific for an AM.. He tracks back anyway to get the ball so basically he could play this role quite easily even if he isnt natural there so if we get this Jesus we could actually play Dybala behind Jesus Mandzukic (dont know this Jesus guy only talking from what I heard on the forum)
    Berardi is practically here...

In a perfect mercato we would retain our pillars, sign Lemina, try to sign Cuadrado (I don't blame Beppe if he can't make it possible due to 10eur boy being a cunt), add Berardi, add additional CM + RB, ship out Hernanes and call it a day.

You see, my ideals are based on not selling players, getting your hands untied somehow and improve the squad instead of sidestepping it. Don't even need to buy someone fancy. Just keep the pillars
