I read a story that he wanted to leave Pool because he saw himself as a DM sitting in front of the defence while Klopp wanted to use him an 8. I wonder if there's truth to that

You play wherever the coach wants to play you. Does he think Max will move Mire to RCM/LCM for him to play DM? I don't think so. Biggest part of him wanting to leave might be that he would play 2nd fiddle to Fabinho and Keita next season.

Btw i Said it already in the transfer section, he sees himself more as an DM, but i don't trust him in that position, and rather have him playing B2B/RCM. Not everyone can play in his favorite position.

I think Pjanic is better at RCM tbh. At least in his Roma days. And I don't love him here as a regista. Maybe Max only plays him there cuz we had no one else.

I think Mire has been fantastic as Regista and is going nowhere.

He won't lose his spot to the Emre Can's of this world.

Mire's best games have been in a double pivot with Khedira. He is also more than capable playing the regista role in a three man mid. Allegri made him a regista, would be pretty weird if he suddenly decided to not play him there.

I see Can as a btb mid too.

As soon as Pjanić came Allegri said he'll be working to make him a regista. He's not leaving that position.

Max likes big physicals b2b mids who can attack the box, connect on crosses and shoot from distance.

It would be a lot different here for Can. Way less counter pressing which he cannot do (This is why Liverpool fans see bad matches from him). Our 4-3-3 is usually a lot more compact so he has to do way less running in space.
