I was under the impression, perhaps wrongly, that a potential Dzeko to Juve transfer will be financially helped a lot by Agnelli himself. I know for sure that Marotta said how we wanted both Dzeko and Krasic but the non-EU rule complicated things. Now, if we were indeed trying to buy them both, then it means that buying solely Dzeko, won't mean that 99% of our budget will be gone, right?

Perhaps the plan is/was to do something similar to Dinho to Milan in 2008. Milan made their transfers and the transfer budget didn't have any funds left to buy Dinho. This is where Berlusconi popped in and funded the transfer from his own pocket.

I'm pretty sure that I read something about Agnelli getting financially involved in the potential Dzeko transfer, but fuck me if I know where did I read it and how reliable it was.

I was under the impression that Agnelli will add more money to get him, but not buy him completely on his own. But yeah, Alen, I thought that we were going to try and buy both which means that after Dzeko we would have at the "minimum" another 15m or so to get Krasic which means we have more than we thought.

I think, that if we truly do fail to land Dzeko then Krasic is Plan B (from the EU-rule), then we get another striker, at least I hope so. If we get Dzeko then we have money left over that we would have used on Krasic that we can spend on whatever we need to fill, as long as it fits the "eu rule"

Personally, I think we should get Dzeko at whatever cost and get an agreement with Krasic that when (if) he were to walk away for free next season we would offer him a fat contract. And pray that Pepe/Lanza get us through the season

This would stop a lot of people's interest in Ade aspecially as i do not see him lowering his wage demands. City will soon find themselves in a similar situation to the one we now find ourselves in terms of players not wanting to move because other teams are unwilling to meet the over inflated wages that City dangled in front of players when they wanted to sign them.

I don't see the problem here. Adebayor is really talented and Man City really need to sell some players off really fast with the new rule and all. If we don't end up with Dzeko then a much cheaper Adebayor would be great. And if he has a French passport then we could also bring Krasic over here.

Usually the bad attitude hinders the player's goal banging ability. That was Cassano's problem for a while.

I don't even know about his "attitude" but he scores many goals. Dunno, I did watch him but not so many times. His play was never impressive (neither is Trezeguet's but he's still a legend) but he does score a lot and it's what we need.

I don't think they really need any financial help to get Dzeko. :tongue: Especially if they're willing to let him on loan, they basically want to get rid of him to get Dzeko.
