Emo snubs Scudetto showdown Wednesday 16 March, 2005

Juventus ace Emerson doesn’t believe that the May 8 clash against Milan will decide the destiny of the title.
Both clubs are currently joint top of Serie A, with the Week 35 clash already being billed as the Scudetto showdown.
But the former Roma midfielder believes nothing will be decided until the last kick of the season.
"It’s tough to make a prediction of who will win the championship," he said. "Ourselves and Milan are very similar.
"I fear the game between us won’t be decisive either. The Scudetto could easily be decided on the last day of the season."
Most neutrals see Milan as slight favourites given that they seemingly have a bigger and better squad than the Bianconeri.
"I don’t think that is true," responded the Brazilian. "After all, you’ve seen what both Marcelo Zalayeta and Ruben Olivera have done recently."
The latter netted the only goal of the game at Chievo on Sunday, while Zalayeta scored the winner in the Champions’ League against Real Madrid.
"That victory helped us with our morale," added Emerson. "It was an important win against one of the best teams in the world."
Juventus are next in action on Saturday against Reggina and the South American doesn’t want any surprises.
"It will be a difficult tie," he insisted. "Reggina have some good players. If we want to finish the season in first then there is only one result which will do…"
