Doubt that BF, that amount wouldn't help us to get another good player.
I don't know about that.

But no one in their right mind is going to pay more than what we paid for Diego last year. Not after the season he had. Marotta & company obviously know that.

Which leads me to believe that what they think of as a right offer, would mean merely recuperating what we spent in the first place. I'm afraid even a small loss would be considered acceptable.

BF, that's the main reason why I think he won't be sold, selling him now for the same price or even the price below the one we paid for him would be silly because in my opinion the guy is a World Class player. In one year of much better occasions and club situation his price would be at least 20 mil higher.
Marotta is not sharing our money and he is negotiating with CSKA showing some skills there in my opinion. He doesn't want to yield.

But see, there is absolutely no way of knowing that.

This time next season, he could be worth a lot more if he indeed has a great season.
If he has another disappointing one, he'll be worth less than he is today. And probably a lot less.

I agree with you that we should not sell him for less than what we paid. But I also realise that that may turn out to be a huge mistake in the end.

True BF, but regarding the last season and the coaches we have I only see that with some new names in our team (Marotta is working on it), new coach and stronger Juve, he is gonna be only better than he was.
But then again I'm not the soothsayer so it could be the other way round.
Just think that it would be silly to lose this player if we want to build a strong team.
