Serious mental breakdowns on this forum. Diego isn't even that good! You'd think we're about to sell Messi.
it's not like that.. am not a fan of Diego but he is a good player and we paid a lot for him last year.. if u sell him it should be for a better player and all of us doubt that specially now.. and if not then why should we sell him at least he is better than nothing..

I still don't understand why are we selling him? The man has a lot to give and it's a terrible mistake letting him go for 20m. He's worth much more.

If this wasn't Diego's choice then he doesn't deserve this. I hope some miracle happens and he stays.

In the german media they say 15M+bonuses (2M for CL qualification).
I'm with you man on the first line. I'm just going to wait and see what Marotta has behind door number 2 before losing it.

maybe we need the money for LB and CB.. but in this case it should have been dead woods like brazzo grosso not Diego. i don't know! nothing official yet my friend.. but i hope it's not selling for nothing..

The thing is that we have to look not just at this campaign but next year's and maybe the year after. Right now Marotta is cleaning up a mess. What if he's eyeing someone else in next year's market that plays the same spot as Diego?

Diego plays a prime position on the field and he's not a superstar. If we build the team around him then we are only going to go as far as he takes us. He can only play in one formation right? A 4-2-3-1. He tries in the 4-4-1-1 but I don't see him having success against teams that are better than Shamrock and Sturm Graz.

So if we have a player that can only play 4-2-3-1 and he is not a superstar then what do we really have?

This is a major point and I think this is getting overlooked. If we want to play 4-2-3-1 then we cannot buy a trequartista because Diego is there. If we want to play 4-4-2 then we can't buy a SS because Diego is there.

Basically, we have to play those formations with Diego there and we can't bring anyone else in. Now you have to ask yourselves is he good enough to prevent us from buying other players in those positions?

it makes perfect sense, if your blaming Diego for last seasons disaster and claiming he's not all that good, then what does that make Amauri?

A forward who hasn't even reached double figures since the start of 2009
Who the F is talking about Amauri? He's just a decent striker. If we were to sell him I wouldn't really care. I just have his avatar because he looks cool and everyone hates him way more than they should.

And where did I blame Diego for last season? lol.
