Does anyone have a breakdown on the prize money for this tournament? I heard it might be around €100 million all up for the winning team?

Real Madrid just paid Liverpool £10 million in compensation to get Trent earlier for the start of the tournament.

People were joking months ago that teams wouldn't take this tournament seriously but City/Chelsea/Real Madrid are already making big moves and appear to be fully preparing for the CWC.

It just occurred to me that our lack of world class players is a yuge advantage because we have relatively few players playing for their national teams, as well as the latter stages of European/continental competitions i.e. will be less fatigued for the tournament.

Being shite actually works in our favour for a change.
