Ronaldo's particular hat-trick

Cristiano Ronaldo has contributed both a goal and assist in his last three league appearances, something he had only ever achieved once before.

The Juventus star was on target and set up the opener for Paulo Dybala in tonight’s 3-0 victory over Frosinone.

That was the third Serie A match in a row in which he made his mark both as a scorer and provider.

Opta calculated CR7 had only managed this feat once before in his career in the top five European Leagues.

That was in November 2014 for Real Madrid in La Liga

Still surreal to see him score and celebrate like that in our colours. I’ll keep saying it as long as he plays for us. Not his “best” game but still comes up with another goal and assist. Amazing player.

I'm enjoying it immensely, but yeah, I feel the same. Also, I feel a bit "bipolar" with CR7, meaning that I can't seem to enjoy the moments fully as I'm constantly thinking about the fact that soon he will be gone. Which is just another way of saying that I've grown incredibly fond of him and want these incredible moments to last forever. What a truly amazing player to watch week-in, week-out, wearing our jersey. We are privileged, a truly lucky set of fans.

I hope he stays at the club for all of the 4 seasons he signed up for. With his physique and champion mindset, I believe he could play at this level for the remainder of his contract. He's that good.

Individual ability (I forget if that was the phrase)
:lol2:

We only score individual brilliance goals. Never team goals.

And then same people bash Mandzukic for scoring tap-ins :lol3:

Man. I want these two to find that amazing chemistry with their play on the pitch. Would be fucking incredible to see. Unstoppable attack if it happens.

It's a win-win for those folks.
Brilliant goals- blame Allegri for individual brilliance
Tap ins and penalties- insult Mandzu and Ronaldo
Defeat or draw- blame everyone.

Someone is always on the chopping block irrespective of the result.

Hopefully he'll catch up to his usual +1 goal a game statistics.
He’s more than made up for it with increased assist numbers. His league numbers for minutes per goal + assist are better than both of the last two at Madrid.

Last place to get him firing is CL, but that’s in part because of that absurd red card and suspension. We’ll see if he can get himself sorted there too this week.

Tbh subbing him was the right idea irrespective of how frosinone were playing. As extraordinary as he is, it's easy to forget he's 34 so we need to start managing his minutes as much as possible to keep him in optimum condition for the Champions League. He's already played more minutes this season than at the same stage last season and the season before. The league is pretty much wrapped up so providing we progress against Atletico; it shouldn't be a problem.
