The award season will be even bigger joke than before just because Ronaldo left Real and the people who vote do not follow other teams than Barsa, Real and the English. Ronaldo would have won everything if he stayed in Real.

I understand this award more (going to Modric), as FIFA obviously puts more weight on the World Cup.

It is the UEFA award that was wrong, IMO.

That said, won't take anything away from Modric. He's a phenomenal player.

But when it comes to the CL 17/18 I think CR was better.
