A failure of 234 million euros! From Koopmainers to Douglas Louis... Juventus spent more than any Italian team, but the results on the pitch were disappointing.

Strong transfer market... weak results

In the summer, the management started implementing an ambitious project led by Thiago Motta.
The club has spent 234 million euros on major transfers in an effort to compete in the domestic market and in Europe.
However, on the field, the results did not reflect these huge investments.

,The most expensive offers:

,Kompanyers – 51.3 million euros
Douglas Louis – 50 million euros
Nico Gonzalez – 33 million euros
Tyuram - 20 million euros
De Gregorio – 18 million euros
Lloyd Kelly – 17.5 million euros
Costa – 12.5 million euros
Colo Muani, Kaliningrad, Veiga, Cabal, Conceicao, Adjic – amounts from 1 to 11 million euros. Total: 234 million euros.

,Technical problem of personnel selection:

Many players did not get enough opportunities or did not perform at the required level.
Some of them, like Kolo Mouani, scored only 5 goals!
The reason for this failure was poor coordination, frequent replacements and lack of clarity in the plan.

Important facts:

53 million euros are to be paid in July as "mandatory amounts" to complete the deals of some players, such as: Nico Gonzalez (25 million), Lloyd Kelly (15 million), De Gregorio (1.5 million) and others in various amounts.

The challenge facing Tudor:

Reevaluate all trades and give opportunities to those who deserve them.
Adjustment of the technical and psychological path within the team.
Create an effective team without spending extra money.

so if you read gazzetta, everyone is a flop, including kalulu, kolo muani and chico? how can adzic be a flop at 18, while el shaarawy, calabria or frattesi will be considered as talents until their early 40's?

it's surely a negative season but fuck off cheerleaders

If Man City wants to throw 60 mil at Di Gregoria I don't see him as a flop. Thuram wouldn't be a flop even if we would have spent 50 mil for him, let alone the a measly 20 mil.

partially. some of those players were/are flops indeed

but calling kalulu, thuram, chico or kolo muani a flop is bullshit. here's a flop according to gazzetta, and apparently to you too:

he's been playing here for two months. he won the best player of the league in his first lol

i get that it goes against the lynching of giuntoli, but i don't give a shit. lynch him for hand picking motta behind a coach's back who was 2 points off the top of the league with a mediocre squad. lynch him for overpaying for koopmeiners, nico and luiz. lynch him for kelly who's probably the worst recruit of the last 10 seasons after arthur. remember, he had 3 months to secure a proper cb and kelly was the best he could come up with. there's plenty of things why giuntoli's project can be considered a failed one.

but some of that article is simply bullshit.

His biggest mistake was keeping on motta for so long. The change was needed months ago.

When you see players with zero confidence and a lack of understanding, supported with dismal results and dont react quick enough, you end up with what we have now.
