Cristiano Giuntoli in an interview to 'Corriere della Sera':

BUDGET IN THE RED AND LUXURY SHOPPING
“We just need to do the math, and bear in mind the five-year perspective. First you could have a player who was making €13M gross, Now you have one that you paid 10 but weighs less than a fifth in terms of salary: At the end, between salary and amortization, you save more than €30M. And so on, for many deals made this year”
MORAL
“There isn't any Giuntoli method: we need to lower the overall salary and the average age of the team. Direction? Building brick by brick our path, we are among the youngest teams in the league and we have an important project. I'm very optimistic and also happy on how this season has started”
WINNING ISN'T THE ONLY THING THAT MATTERS?
“Of course, Juve is a club that should win. It is not the only thing that matters, but it is the most important. We need to maintain financial equilibrium and high competitiveness to bring back the club where it deserves. There is the result, but also the way you reach it. We need to start with performance, this is what will make the difference”
PRESSURE
“I would talk about the sense of responsibility, the awareness of being in a club that made history, and to have on the shoulders the weight of an important mission. I don't like to reveal my emotions, what prevail are cool heads, the serenity of the manager that should always have to make head-on decisions and never belly-down ones, this is the merit in which I recognize myself: serenity in any situation.”
JMUSEUM
“It always excites me. I think of my dad, I realize where I am and the images of Juve that I dreamt when I was young go through my head”
IDOLS
“Zoff, Cabrini, Scirea... Causio, who was a champion. And Furino, during my time when I was a fan”
CHOOSING PLAYERS
“The numbers represent the history of a player, but I need to feel the emotion, to see him and understand what he conveys. And it is an essential assessment to which you add all the data you want. But there is always a risk margin when you sign a player”.
MOST DIFFICULT SIGNING – “Maybe Osimhen. It took me for months to bring him to Napoli. Maybe he had to be sold earlier, but DeLaurentiis is an intelligent and astute entrepreneur. I owe him so much, I like him.”
“It is evident that with Bologna he did really well and that we weren't the only ones who have set the eyes on him, we were aware and we played our cards, evidently fully adopting his football project”
PLAN B
“I won't say the name, but he is a foreign coach who worked and still works in Europe”
REGRETS
“Who doesn't have them? We needed to do a good mercato and put the accounts in order. The objective was to make a young squad, but with some experience that represents the basis”
CALAFIORI
“It's a regret for the whole Italian football, not for Juventus. We need to question ourselves on the fact of not having the strength to keep a player of his stature in Italy. All the big clubs signed a defender, but not him”
REPLACING VLAHOVIC
“In the football of Thiago it can happen, nothing particular”
IS THE RENEWAL OF VLAHOVIC A PROBLEM?
“No, a player like him with still important prospects could never be a problem, the renewal is an objective, we will do it. A player that is worth so much and earns so much represents a legacy to us. ”
SCUDETTO
“It's too early to say, but Inter and Napoli are the favorites. History says so, the most experienced team always wins. Inter is, Napoli for the change in strategy that it did has become a favorite”
JUVE
“We have made so many changes, and when you do you always face risks. We completely changed our way of thinking about football, starting from zero. We still don't know what we can do, we are discovering ourselves. Now there is also the curiosity of understanding, seeing what we can do”
MANAGING THE CHIESA SITUATION
“With clarity and simplicity, we were always very honest with the player and his entourage. We all together looked for the best solution for the player, who is really strong and we wish him all the best”
MCKENNIE
“He had an issue with the renewal, but he was never out of the project”
KOOPMEINERS
“Even this one was a complicated negotiation. He is special in the plays, in the technique. A player that looks up, always knows where the ball is, knows who to pass it to. He's a tough guy. ”
THIAGOMOTTA
“He has had a strong impact inside Juve. Kind, nice ways, with everyone. He is a predestined, very empathetic with the squad. He has a great personality. He gives everything, he lives for that job”
LIES
“I don't tell lies, I omit. But in any case, these are white lies. I tell them, but I also receive some. When a player has already decided that he wants to go elsewhere and hides it, and I become aware, I pretend to believe what he says. I understand him”
RELATIONSHIP WITH ALLEGRI
“I'm sorry, I don't talk about that”
RESULT OR BEAUTIFUL FOOTBALL
“I say a balance and control of the game, this is what I like about this Juve. A strong squad should know how to do everything"

Speak for yourself. Spending time here has made me into a monumental person.

Every time someone meets me, they’re like holy fuck this guy’s gonna be huge.
Oh being real this forum has genuinely impacted my personality in a very positive way. I've told this story a few times before but in 2011 I was genuinely close to suicide and shortly after deciding not to kill muhself and that it was worth building a life that I wanted to live I found the Tuz.

Really helped me to have so much to read during the months of insomnia, and the whole grinta thing really clicked with what I was all about at the time because of the circumstances. Learning about Juventus' history that year and then watching the resurgence under Conte the next year at the same time I was starting to do much better...it was too perfect and I've been a Juventino since.

To this day this is my favourite part of the Internet, and y'all helped keep me alive and sane in a real way.

Don't ever go away, lads.

I wasn't close to suicide and didn't have insomnia but I swear it was exactly the same for me, and we joined around the same time too :D

But it was the off topic posts and thread that I think were most important for me, it exposed me to so many different ideas and really broadened my horizons. This place was instrumental in my growth as a person.

And I'm glad you're here.

Thanks bro you too.

Yeah that's it it's the variety that makes it so special. Not just of different backgrounds but perspectives, opinions, experiences and ideas. Forum-wide.

Loving this new look JJ so far but David Luiz is looking like the odd man out

Well done Giunto. You have hired the right people to bring JJ back to being a legit team. I have no doubt we have a bright future ahead.
