We sold Tevez for 6,5 mil. So it's not even close to being the worst in recent memory, let alone of all time.

chiesa cost so low because his wage demands, fitness issues and expiring contract. an other dybala. remember how many clubs were after dybala when he became a free agent?

chiesa was for sale since june, and he trained with the team for weeks after the euros. kicking him out of the squad didn't change his situation, he was never gonna stay with the squad anyway

Yes but the fact we forced him out and made a public stance about it sure didn’t help our negotiating position, top teams speculated on the fact that Chiesa won’t accept just about any Conference League, Turkyie League or Saudi League offers, teams that might have been ready to go into a bidding war to raise the price for us, but to what use when the player had his mind already made up about wanting to go only towards another big team that is playing UCL this season and that can match his demands, which only a select few fell in this category, and all did their best to lowball us and take advantage of our desperation to sell him.

Whole situation should have probably been handled better from our side too, but Chiesa and his agent being a prick sure didn’t help our case at all either.
