personally i think irelands victory was all the more impressive as they are not traditionally a cricketing nation.

Bangladesh did well to beat the much-hyped-as-ever Indian team! that should be a kick in the balls for the Indian team. all pressure on them to win the next two. i dunno who else is in their group other than Sri lanka n Bangladesh, but the Sri lanka match will be though!

i AM indian, but i HATE cricket to the core!!! the mere popularity of cricket in here makes me sick!!! i've always been a football lover, and just developed a natural hatred towards cricket.

but i'm only concerned bout national pride that comes with any World Cup's. if it wasnt for that, i wouldnt have cared even a bit for the CWC!

cricket here is hyped TOO much! not to mention the players themselves. u must see the no. of advertisements that feature Dhoni..you wouldnt believe he's a cricket after the no. of endorsements he's been doing. not that it's wrong or anything! but it's happened a lot of times before; a lot of hype followed by under-performance!!!

and that's one other thing...the Kolkata(Ganguly's home town) people consider him a God!!! i guess you know bout the Ganguly-Chappel fight, and how Chappel was boo-ed by the Kolkata guys and burning porsters n effigies of Chappel...it was crazy!!! their emotional attachment towards cricket is too much!!!
