Ardipithecus ramidus... supposedly one of our really old ancestors, even older than Lucy, was discovered in the 90's and the results of the research came out a few months ago. It arose many controversies however, the one that struck me like a bolt of lightning is how the news agencies reported it.
More than one agency misunderstood the significance & true meaning of the results, however, AL Jazeera (the #1 arabic news agency) made one hell of a report that i can't believe they can sink that low.
They actually made a claim that Ardi proves evolution WRONG!
If you do little research about the topic you'll see 100s of articles & blogs mocking and bashing El Jazeera for such misrepresentation, however, whats even more surprising was that they made this report only on the Arabic Jazeera. Not a single mentioning or even a headline about it in English.. its as if it never happened.
If you still don't get it.. they actually showed how they have an Agenda & bias.. they knew that Arabs are mostly uneducated and would believe anything that comes their way as long as it supports religion against science (evolution is believed to be false down here regardless of the report) they just continued to feed the ignorance through false reporting. They knew that they'll easy get pwnt if they publish this on the English channels thats why they didn't.
Sadly i actually came to know about this when a muslim friend of mine told me that science actually proved evolution to be false and creationism to be right. I didn't believe him and so he gave me the video on fb... soon after i found it all over the fb. I watched and saw that this isn't a refutation so i did some research and found out what i am now telling you. The friend is actually a highly educated one with a degree in pharmacy.
I am just disgusted by how some religious leaders claim to spread "Truth" when they actually lie intentionally to deceive people..
