if you are not satisfied with the referees.....then i guess this crazy thing will make you change mind for all our referees in italy!!

on sunday,to a b'serie match a defender scored an own goal.
so far so good.
but what was the bigest surprise of all??
the referee canceled the o.g because as he states, the defender was at the off-side position.

could someone explain me how is it thing POSSIBLE??

the defender was normaly standing in front of his team's goal and when the ball came to him,he made a move accidentaly and instead of DEFENDING he scored with a header.

how on earth is possible to cansel AN OWN GOAL???

    it's greek serie b :p

    you want a video

    sorry guys,no video....and even if i tell you the teams,you won't know them ;)

but it was so funny that i just had to ask you how is it on earth possible the defender of your own team to be off side!!
    actually....this is his RIGHT position!

in this way, then EVERY own goal should be off side!!

It can be only if all the players including the opponent’s goalkeeper are behind that defender:D
No, even then it's impossible to be offside in your own half

Refereeing standards have been getting lower all over the world. The guy who refereed the legendary Italy - South Korea match at the 2002 world cup (you know, with the red card for Totti, the disallowed goal and the silly penalty) is a good example. He got even more controversial when he gave 14 minutes of injury time back in his own league.
