Utah ordered a bunch too. Apparently our first doses will arrive by thanksgiving.

seems strange right?
Weren't they supposed to wait for other results for another 2-3 weeks?

Getting vaccines so early seems fishy.

Judging by how long (short) it took to make them I'd say it was a man made virus. I doubt vaccine would ever go out earlier than 2 years.

what Pfizer did was take a risk by producing and distributing a formula they thought would work.

this way, once the FDA approves it; it will already be ready for injection.

Pretty sure they had massive financial backing from the German or American governments so there wasn't any financial risk probably. But yeah, essentially they jammed up the 3 test phases around the same time and produced it while testing.

Don't know how long the vaccine for the Mexican swine flu took, but don't think it was much longer tbh.

Years of study for a covid vaccine?
usually the years of study occur while the vaccine is in circulation. Think polio, mmr, hep, the covid vaccine in Brazil, etc

i think generally speaking vaccines don’t have a ton of long term adverse effects but then it’s possible that one could come around that does.

Looks like the writing is on the wall. Will be interesting to see how much Biden (?) is willing to shut it down nationwide while knowing that will be a rather unpopular decision to put it mildly. And it will put some of my friends out of work most likely but gotta save lives.

this would have been a decent idea at the outset as it worked in a number of other countries. however, right now we are socially and economically past the point of locking down, no matter the body count

So they can't guarantee it's safe?
