Omg I was so happy watchin Inter bein hammered like this(though they played with none of their startin players)!
Whats wrong with Toure,I always said that he is a very good player but tonight I am concinced that he is the best half defender outhere.

good performance...1st half was terrible a real snoozefest...Boum did well for once!
the thing that really made me happy today was Buffon's perfromence,I was so worried about his form after recent matches but Tonight he proved me why he will always be nmbr 1.Forza GIGI,I also liked Chiellini a lot today,I am really glad we kept this boy he is pure class,Almiron what a signing:smoke: ,Tiago just need more time & he will give a new prospective to our midfield, cant wait for Camo to take his place.
Forza Juve,I dont see why we cant compete for the scudetto with Inter having a crappy coach like Mancicni,Milan puttin their mind on the CL & the clubs world cup in december & roma havin also CL.
I swear we can do it if Mr.Ranieri played it right,we r Juve for God sakes we were never a team who played for 4th place & we will never be.

One thing I really liked today is Almiron and Tiago's passing....it's wonderful. Is it possible that Giorgio will b called up into the NT for France considering Matrix and Canna both got injured during the weeked. Whose centre back cover after Barzaghli in other words?

He should get called up, but I doubt he will.

Juve tear up the Tardini

Claudio Ranieri made a triumphant return to the Tardini, as Juventus knocked Parma out of the Coppa Italia 3-1.

The Coach, who saved the Gialloblu from almost certain relegation last season, took the opportunity to test out the new midfield partnership of Sergio Almiron and Tiago Mendes.

The former Chelsea man set up a good chance that Vincenzo Iaquinta turned over the bar and Nicola Pavarini parried a David Trezeguet strike.

Nicola Legrottaglie went off injured at the break and substitute Jean-Alain Boumsong nodded a free kick off target.

The deadlock was finally broken on 62 minutes and the scorer Christian Molinaro had been on the field for just 120 seconds!

Molinaro took the left-wing position and thumped in another of his trademark long-range strikes.

Parma fought back, forcing Gigi Buffon to save from Francesco Parravicini with an outstretched leg.

However, Almiron curled in a free kick to double Juve’s advantage at the Stadio Tardini.

Moments later the referee pointed to the spot for Jonathan Zebina’s foul on Igor Budan and Castellini converted to keep the game open.

It remained so until eight minutes from time, when Hasan Salihamidzic’s shot from the edge of the area took a vicious deflection to leave Pavarini stranded.

Juventus go through to the last 16 with a 3-1 victory, where they will face Empoli. The Tuscans have in their squad two Bianconeri-owned youngsters, Sebastian Giovinco and Claudio Marchisio.

Parma 1-3 Juventus
Scorers: Molinaro 61 (J), Almiron 72 (J), Castellini pen 74 (P), Salihamidzic 85 (J)
Parma: Pavarini; Coly, Paci, Couto, Castellini; Dessena, Parravicini, Morrone, Tombesi (Budan 68); Reginaldo, Paponi (Morfeo 68)

Juventus: Buffon; Zebina, Andrade, Legrottaglie (Boumsong 46), Chiellini; Nocerino (Molinaro 59), Almiron, Tiago, Salihamidzic; Iaquinta (Palladino 79), Trezeguet

Doesn't sound like Molinaro's goal to me.

A good confidence-booster after the Udinese draw. :D

Happy with the result, and I like how our away jerseys look.
Definitely on both counts.

ya they look fly but i still like the black ones from last year :)
It's going to be hard to top that jersey, though.

It was not a good game for us, as we were outplayed by a mediocre team, who like Livorno, have no offense

Our midfield was owned today, and having most of the starters in from last game (minus Tiago) didnt amount to shit. With all their bad passes and having the ball taken away several times, our defense had lots of work to, and thankfully they did their jobs pretty well, while the offense was invisible because they were getting no service.

We had one chance in the entire first half (Trez shot from Iaquinta), and only a few in the second half that we were lucky enough to convert.

I am concerned about what happens when we play a team with a better midfield and a REAL offense...we are in for some troubles

my ratings-

Buffon 6 - Had to make one save, and lost the pk duel (as always)

Zebina 6 - Faulted on a non-existent penalty, but was solid otherwise

Andrade 6- A more solid game. He played pretty well, and was mistake free

Legrottaglie 6- He had a good first half, but the dude is too fragile...he wont make it through the season

Chiellini 6.5 - Our best defensive player !! He played well on defense, and his attacking play wasnt too shabby either. Assisted on Molinaro's goal with a nice cross

Brazzo 5- Yes, he scored a pinball goal, but was weak the entire game. He had no control of his side of the field, and his lack of accuracy on his passes was apparent. Camo, please comback !!

Almiron 5- Besides his goal, his worst game in a Juve shirt. Most of his passes either missed or were intercepted, he had no control the center of the field, and all but one of his shots was way off target. I expected more from him.

Tiago 4.5- The biggest waste of 14 million dollars that I can think of. What did he do right today ? Absolutely NOTHING !! He cant pass, shoot, control the center of the field...hell, even the yellow card he received was for a piss-poor foul. I see no promise in him

Nocerino 5 - He did what he could playing out of position, and it wasnt enough today. Put him back in the center, and lock Tiago in the mens room during the game

Trezeguet 6- He wasnt given any service, barely missed on his only chance....I was impressed that he came back to help the middies on a few occasions

Iaquinta 5.5 - Like Trez, he got no service, but on his only attempt, he takes a shot from an impossible angle, instead of doing the right think and crossing the damn ball !!

Molinaro 6 - He gets a 6 because he scored, and was played out of position...did nothing else positive

Boumsong 5.5- "stumbles" is just a mistake waiting to happen, and even though he made no glaring mistakes today, he had some bad positioning that better offenses would expose

Palladino - not in long enough to rate

Ranieri 6- I will give him credit for fielding Buffon, and an almost full-strength squad...even though they were poor today, they were lucky enough to make the most of their few chances...tougher days are ahead
