no, youre the one being ridiculous here. 1st, i never claimed he had an amazing game, the only thing i said was he wasnt terrible and that there were guys who were worse than him today and deserved to be subbed out before him. is that a reason to call me ridiculous?
2nd, what you said is not true. he was invisible and mediocre every time he touched the ball? the guy received like 5-6 balls while being isolated all game and in atleast 4 occasions he managed to free himself up and try to create something. he had Padoin (zero support) and an out of form Vidal on his side. and youre right. he did play in circumstances that dont suit him and with the whole team having an off day. but even in those circumstances he managed to look good when receiving the ball and always finding good solutions after freeing himself up. Llorente played in a system that suited him best according to many with wingers and crosses and he sucked even more than usual. how about that?
sure it wasnt a brilliant performance (like most of the team) and i know he can do better, but i still dont know what was so awful about his todays performance
I certainly am being ridiculous. Being ridiculous is fun.
I'm underestimating his performance, I'd say you are overestimating it; there's probably an appropriate middle ground in there somewhere, but what fun would that be? I don't think he was awful, just that he was poor. He was rather invisible, and din't make the most of the opportunities he was given when the ball came his way.
And bro, I've been crucifying Llorentree for weeks now. I like him, but he's in such horrible form, and at an age where I doubt he's ever going to find his way back from the morass. He was appalling today, aside from his one sparkly pass.
Anyways. I want to see Coman play in a match where he is set up to be successful, rather than this, and then we can get a better idea of his qualities, which seem to be pretty darn good, for an 18 year old.
