Coman was nowhere near awful.
You're ridiculous. Youth for youth's sake.

He was invisible and mediocre every time he touched the ball. Does he have a ton of potential still? Obviously. Does he have talent? Obviously. But today, he was poor. His runs were poor; his positioning was poor; when he did get the ball, his first touch was poor; he lost possession easily; his passing wasn't accurate. It was a poor match from him.

Should we judge him based on this one match, on a terrible field that really doesn't suit his strengths, when the entire team was mediocre? No. This shouldn't effect our overall view of him at all, but there's nothing wrong with admitting that a player you like was poor on the day.

Coman had no one close enough to link up with. He looks much better when had players like Tevez Gio and Morata running around him and certainly Pogba tonight when he cane on but he was sadly subsituted not long after.

:agree:

Which is why it'd be pointless to make too harsh a judgment on his mediocre performance. This side wasn't set up today to work well for him. I'd really like to see us play Morata--Tevez, with Coman in behind them at some point. I think it'd be really interesting.

no, youre the one being ridiculous here. 1st, i never claimed he had an amazing game, the only thing i said was he wasnt terrible and that there were guys who were worse than him today and deserved to be subbed out before him. is that a reason to call me ridiculous?

2nd, what you said is not true. he was invisible and mediocre every time he touched the ball? the guy received like 5-6 balls while being isolated all game and in atleast 4 occasions he managed to free himself up and try to create something. he had Padoin (zero support) and an out of form Vidal on his side. and youre right. he did play in circumstances that dont suit him and with the whole team having an off day. but even in those circumstances he managed to look good when receiving the ball and always finding good solutions after freeing himself up. Llorente played in a system that suited him best according to many with wingers and crosses and he sucked even more than usual. how about that?

sure it wasnt a brilliant performance (like most of the team) and i know he can do better, but i still dont know what was so awful about his todays performance

I certainly am being ridiculous. Being ridiculous is fun. :D

I'm underestimating his performance, I'd say you are overestimating it; there's probably an appropriate middle ground in there somewhere, but what fun would that be? I don't think he was awful, just that he was poor. He was rather invisible, and din't make the most of the opportunities he was given when the ball came his way.

And bro, I've been crucifying Llorentree for weeks now. I like him, but he's in such horrible form, and at an age where I doubt he's ever going to find his way back from the morass. He was appalling today, aside from his one sparkly pass.

Anyways. I want to see Coman play in a match where he is set up to be successful, rather than this, and then we can get a better idea of his qualities, which seem to be pretty darn good, for an 18 year old.

i think he was better than poor. somewhere between solid and not so good. and yes he was invisible for the most part of the game. but thats what i explained in my previous 2-3 posts about him. he was isolated. the only chance he had receiving the ball were Llorente holding onto the ball and passing it out to the wing where he could have space to play 1on1 - fail, one of our midfielders creating some space and find him open on the wing - fail, Pirlo long ball on the counter (there was no room for this as they were behind the ball most of the time), Pepe crossing and the ball ending up at the other side (tbh, this was more his fault as he was in the box everytime a cross from the right came with the other flank area completely empty), so the only thing left was dropping back with 1-2 players on his back, receiving a though pass and try to free himself up. and he did well at doing that. now, i dont know what you expected from a 18 year old kid who doesent play in weeks, in a game we won 1-0 with a last minute goal, where the majority of the team underperformed. if you expected him to decide the game with a solo run i have bad news for you :p

agree. i liked him since his goals vs United in the EL in 2012 (thats when i saw Pogba the 1st time :touched:) and was really excited when we signed him. he is finished and we should hope that some EPL team is still interested and is willing to pay 10M for him

i want that too. with a supportive fullback like Evra, Pogba on the left side of the midfield and a CF like Morata who he is able to link up with and i think he would play much better than today (which is really solid :p)

Missed the game again, and will miss the rest of the mid week night games for the foreseeable future.

Anyways, a win is a win, sure it was ugly and we apparently played terribly, but the important thing is moving into the semi finals. Very happy for Morata, this goal will do his confidence a world of good. Don't know wtf is wrong with Llorente lately though. Not sure if its a mental thing, or Allegris tactics, but he has been horrible all season. Sucks, he's a smashing guy, I just hope it changes for him sooner or later.

Coman and Pepe were our only good players tonight. I'm not really worried, we played the first half in first gear and eventually got the job done when we pressed them at the end. It was a horrible performance but away to Parma is the kind of game where we're allowed to play sub par.

Morata scored a good goal and was clutch for us. I'm happy to see that, it'll do his confidence well. It'll also make Allegri more confident in starting him. We're through, and so far, everything has been going great for us this season.

Vidal is a little off form but I'm sure he'll be back to his best soon. He even nearly ended the game in the first half with that volley.

 surprisingly very smooth sailing on all fronts so far this season, lets hope it continues!

The reason for such a shitty performance was the tactical choice by Allegri. It clearly didn't work against Parma's formation, yet Allegri didn't bother changing systems.

Pepe - What a horrible player. He sucked at everything. His decision making is zero, his crosses suck balls, worst of all his movement is so freaking predictable. People are blaming Llorente for his performance in his ideal formation, but how could the guy score with players like Pepe and his crosses. So awful. Left side of the pitch were heavily marked with Padoin and Coman, there were literally no crosses from the left side, so that's why most of our play came from the right side because there was more room to run, unfortunately it was Pepe who was in this position.

I agree with Zizinho.

He got only a few touches, but almost always looked good.
He did, occasionally, look dangerous, but didn't really do anything useful with the ball most of the time. I thought his positioning was rather poor, which was the main reason he was rarely involved like you said. It wasn't a good game from him.... or almost anyone for that matter.

Yea pepe actually has very bad attitude towards Asian juve fans. He was rather impolite when he was in Singapore.
