Well i know what you mean but Ranieri most likely will use him against Inter. We ain't going to play Livorno but a team and a horny Cruz. Even Rai tonight said that most probably Stendardo will play next Wednesday. I like this guy, he is strong and very powerfull in the air and he will be usefull for the match against Inter. However i hope that the board wown't buy him for 10m in summer. The problem with Stendardo is that we can't use him in Seria A because he is suspended for 3 matches so he will be available for the match against Roma in turin.
Yeah, i guess you're right.
I was never impressed by him but he's indeed powerful strong centre back and he can take on Cruz much better than Birindelli can.
I'm only scared that he will lose all his confidence if he starts bad. Our defenders are bad, our goalkeeper will probably be Belardi and we'll be playing Inter.
That's an easy way to get burned and lose all your confidence.

The bad thing in this deal, like you said, is his suspension. After his suspension will expire we probably won't even need him. Chiellini will be back, Zebina will be back and then even Andrade will be back. Practically, we're loaning him for this single match against Inter and in case of an eventual injury of Chiellini/Legro later in the season.
One may ask himself: Why the fuck did we loan Criscito and sold Boumsong then ?

Alen,

I think you are underestimating Stendardo. I think he is much better then Boumsoug and Criscito. He will be very usefull for us after he comes from suspension. You will see. I ain't saying he is a great CB but he isn't that bad too. I also think Gigi will play next wednesday since he always keeps his word. I think yesterday i read somewere that he wants to play on wednesday and he is looking forward to it BUT on the other hand maybe Ranieri seeing Belardi in form will not risk Gigi on wednesday so we will see.

I can only hope you're right and forza Stendardo if we get him tomorrow.

I've seen a lot of Lazio and Stendardo. Not a world class player but solid defender overall. I'm not against this signing but i really fail to see the logic.
At this moment, yes, i know why are we signing him. But since he'll be nothing more than a bench player i don't understand why did our directors get rid of Criscito and Boumsong to get Stendardo on loan. Even if he is a better defender than them, which he is, i don't understand why did they do that.

Plus, he wasn't even our first choice. It's not like we had a plan to get rid of Criscito and Boumsong in order to get Stendardo. He was Plan D or Plan E. We're getting him only after our offers for some other defenders have been rejected (according to some sources we went after Mellberg, Ferrari and Lucchini first). He's only a signing made in desperation

I think Mancini won't go with his best men.
Roma are now only 5 points behind and the CL matches against Liverpool are getting closer. Add the media, the writings about refs helping Inter and the press silince and you'll see that Mancini's boys are in one not very familiar situation for them in last 2 years.
In 4 words: They are under pressure.

Coppa is the least important for them and they aren't in such comfortable situation in serie A anymore.
Logically Mancini should rest some of his best men.
    You sure of that?:D

You are right about that. He wasn't in our plans untill the Mellberg deal went off for the January transfers. But we really needed to get rid of Boumsong to get some cash. Atleast we got 3£ for him. I am happy tough he scored before he left cause atleast he tried to give it all to Juve not like Tiago. I am more concered about the Tiago deal. He was on the bench today. I didn't excpect him to be there since when Juve.com announced the players going to livorno he wasn't listed then tonight he was on the bench. I hear that he will reject tottenham cause he wants to go to spain playing for Athletico. I hope we get some good cash from him. I also agree with you about Criscito. I think the board made a mistake loaning him but who knew we will have so many injuries... And chiellini doesn't get injured that much so we were a little unlucky. But anyways i hope everything goes well. :)

Stendardo will be useful for this game. Why did we sell Boumsong and loan out Criscito? It's simple, Boumsong wanted out cuz he was on bench and Criscito wasnt getting any playing time and needed to start somehwere else to get his form and confidence back up.

Stendardo will be useful as a sub to Legro, Andrade and of course Chiellini for the remainder of the season. If Andrade finds his form then with Chiellini that will be the partnership..however, we know Andrade is kindof injury prone as well so that doesnt help.

well stendardo is here, you think hes going to start ?

anyway we will be playing a wounded dog and they want to prove a point.

Lets hope our midfield stands up against theirs and maybe camo making the difference in the last 15 minutes.

Lets kick the fuckers out of their favourite tournament.
