Yours is more realistic, I listed what I would start. Considering our injuries and out of form / fitness problems, I'd use this game to improve the team rather than win by a margin. IMO we have players like Danilo, Rabiot and Ramsey who need continuity to build match fitness, to gain more confidence and to improve overall understanding of the italian league and teamwork. I would rest Ronaldo, Bonucci and Sandro since no viable LB to take his place.
I would rest Ronaldo as well but Sarri already said he has no intention of doing so..

Against the likes of Udinese. The type of game he shines in. Let him play.

A trophy is a trophy btw. I wanna win the Coppa every year. It's not a glorified friendly like the supercup.
If he feels good sure, let him play, but if theres even some slight discomfort, this competition is not worth the risk. For me it goes like summer cups < supercoppa < Coppa <<< Serie A <<< CL.

If our 2nd stringers win it - great, but I dont see the need to involve too many starters, theres enough games already until the next break
