Haven't been to a JJ match in a few years. I was mostly impressed with Yildiz and Chico seeing everyone in the flesh. They're just so good in tight spaces, and fast. But wow, Chico's low center of gravity make him hard to contain, especially if your legs are the same height as he is. If he starts making better decisions and gets a little stronger, he's going to be a force. Apart from those two, Thuram looked decent, solid technique. Randy looked good as well. Also, I didn't mind seeing Savona in the center for a change, with his height and build he's definitely more suited to the center than on the flank.

The only player on our side who looked completely out of place was Kelly, of whom I had the "pleasure" of watching in front of my eyes in the first half. Made some poor decisions and got beat a couple times, he should be playing for Al Pain instead. I really don't like Baio either to be honest. Mckennie didn't look great either, but perhaps he's exhausted from the heat and dealing with the tards at the White House.

We looked relatively compact for the most part in the 3-4-2-1. Seemed to work well on the press and didn't get out of balance. But it's not like we played anybody that good, so I still have questions on whether it's going to work in the long run in Italy.

The crowd wasn't bad with a lot of people wearing JJ kits, many of them of old school kits as well. Close to 19,000 at Audi Field, which is probably the best crowd I have seen there. While I had club tickets, they didn't open the DC Club experience section with catering and drinks, which pissed me off. I hate standing in regular admission lines. I also had the pleasure of sitting next to a cute Italian girl who was wearing loads of Chanel number 5.

I guess it was worth the 1.5 hour drive during rush hour and torrential downpours to get there.
Seems like at least you had fun. I’m still undecided if I’m going next Thursday. Haven’t been to a Jj match in well over a decade.
