Personally i do consider other factors hence why i wouldn't sell him, especially us being half way thought the season, it'd be pure stupidity. Actually, selling anyone now would be stupid. Next season, that's a big maybe. But even then, no, if we can't find a better replacement.

Nobody is debating on whether he's got quality or not, it's obvious he does, he was one of the best mid in the world in that 11/12 season. The fact is that he's been pretty much a hit or miss after that season and seem to have lost his mojo. I'd consider, i say consider, selling him if he doesn't improve until the end of this Season.
Marchisio? :D To be among the best midfielders in the world a player needs to prove his worth in Europe as well. Serie A matches (I'm aware we haven't participated that year) aren't sufficient to give someone this kind of attribute, especially considering that Italian league has been deteriorating since the end of 90es. As for his 2011/12 he had a string of 10-15 great games, showed incredible level of consistency, something very uncommon for him before and after that period, sadly. He's a good squad player, but if I had to estimate his value on the market it wouldn't exceed 20m, not saying we should sell him for that amount and certainly not during the season. Next year we just might and not because he's playing below his capabilities, but because we'll probably need to sacrifice few less important players in order to improve in other areas and Marchisio fits that description. All the time while watching Asamoah yesterday bossing in the mid my thoughts were: "this, fucking this".

This thread needs a bit of @Red

He can explain it better then i do, to you people
I've lost interest in trying to explain stuff about Marchisio to people.

If they haven't grasped things by now they aren't going to.

I don't have your relentless desire to try to educate lost causes.

I couldn't resist to say my 2 cents about this:
We, the people, don't give a fuck about Red's, Conte's or Zeus's explanations. We have eyes 'of the people' and brains 'of the people'. It seems you think you are not one of 'us' and we all agree on that, but the underlying reasons are where we drift apart. You see yourself some kind of expert, but we've seen the lot of you just on goal.com alone, so please have some respect, perspective and FFS common sense. :bitchslap:

Marchisio should be solf if 25M+ offer arrives without further deliberations. Anything less is debatable indeed, but we have to be realistic or we would harm both the player and the club.

Marchisio is a vital part of this team, and a keyplayer when facing hard opponents.
Its retarded selling such a player, as you cannot get a better one for that pathetic price, and it would seriously weaken the team.

To understand why he is vital, you need to have understanding of how good italian managers have their team controll space and build up with that in mind.

People that have never run a soccer club before let alone coach above the pee-wee league levels telling Conte & Co. they are doing their jobs wrong.

Looking at the table, i really cannot understand why they'd say that.

If we didnt had to play on a unreglimentary pitch, this drama wouldnt have been here
