No. But the problem is that we are sutck with allegri.
He is not a bad coach at all, he has given us unreal numbers. But if you go to the way we play, we have relapsed. Allegri first season here, when he mixed contes team with his ideals, was our best. We had a good mix of attack and def, and even then we didnt had a “dominating" midfield. Even with our mvpp. Thats because our gameplay is always around soaking pressure and “counter" instead of playing possesion football.
See, i dont want to see more comparisons between allegri and the rest of rejects in serie A, because allegro clearly has the numbers to steamroll their CVs... but what i want, is people to take a look at how we play, and why we play like that.
A guy some posts above said it perfectly... we only play to our full potential when we are FORCED to attack. That away bayern game was glorious. Also the way we played in the 2nd half after that first half debacle in turin.
We always play much better when we have to go for the goal. But in neutral, or winning... we never get to that gear. We are always playing passively and waiting, giving the ball to the opossition. This cannot be.
A lot of people adore allegri here and rightly so, but they need to open their eyes and see whats going on. Everything is not OK and this underperforming issue will not change until the coach also does a realization of his shortcomings and change the way we play.
This, and sensitive signigns will at the very least rail us into how we should play.
