...I also expect him to side more with Bayern through familiarity...
what do you mean by this? atkinson ref'd 3x for both bayern and juve.

btw we have a good record with him, winning twice (against olympiacos and real last season) and drawing away from home against bate with ranieri. bayern can't complain either, they won all 3 of their matches with this ref.

So pretty much no different to us having no Mandzukic, Chiellini or Sandro.
You think so? You're missing a striker, a center back and a full back. You can replace them more or less equally with Morata, Barzagli or Evra. We're missing all our proven center backs. If the teams are lined-up as I expect, you'll have a team with an average size of 1,84m while our's will be at 1,79m witout a CB.
Also isn't Mandzukic back?

Bayerrn are in a worse position as they dont have a good enough Cb pairing whereas we at least have suitable replacements for sandro and chiellini. We are probably gonna play in a back 4 whi h means that chiellini' s absence wont be felt and plus evra will play instead of sandro which is a more than adequate replacement.

Idk if bayern are going to play benatia, but if they dont they have a CB Pairing of kimmich and tasci which is shit imo. We need to take full advantage of that!

Though it must be said Pep is probably the most less CB dependent coach in history. Us missing Barzagli, Chiellini and Rugani would be the end of the world, it isn't for them.

Even more so since his philosophy is one of pressing his adversary on their own half and holding possession there minimizing the risks his defence have to take.

Personally If I was a Bayern fan I wouldn't be too worried right now. We'll have to really make something special happen attacking wise for them to miss their injured CBs. I'm hoping we do.

We'd rather play without a natural CB than play Tasci who is completely out of rhythm.

I meant more the international image of their players and coach. It's not like we are BATE Borisov, but we have a few younger guys now. I'm mostly concerned about Robben, to tell the truth.

Then again... we wouldn't be able to take advantage of this when our best crosser (Sandro) and best headers (Chiellini and Mandzukic) aren't available.
