I was just watching replays of the alleged handball by Zapata for the first goal and it actually looks like he didn't touch the ball with hands but it got deflected into his right cheek by Jordi Alba (who actually handed the ball).

Guess that's one less conspiracy theory to worry about for the Spanish press.
as far as i see, it deflected jordi alba hand, hit zapata head, and hit zapata hand, so handball?

Man, everyone needs to take the time to appreciate the possibility there will be no spanish or english teams in the next round.
Thats just fucking beautiful.
edit:
shit, I just realised, either man u or real is gonna be there.
Either way, the fact only one of either league is still so nice.

it's inconclusive for me - can't be sure even after replay if Zapata handled the ball at any moment there, certainly not before Alba deflected it into his face. there seems to me be a motion by his hand towards the ball after bouncing off his face that may be taken as voluntary but after a closer look that seems more like part of his reaction to the ball-in-face thingy. Even then, I don't think he touches the ball to "push" it towards KPB or something along those lines.

In real time, it actually looked like Zapata purposefully grabbed the ball in mid-air and pushed it towards Boateng, so I was shocked when the goal stood ...

i'm pretty sure zapata just want to avoid the ball, but it messing up and "accidently" hit his hand in the air, the ball could be going to another direction (not to boateng) if it's not hit his hand. It's pretty much same decision when referee not giving handball by granqvist, the ball could be going to vucinic in front of the goal if it's not hit granqvist' hand.
So if it's change the ball direction, as long as you undeliberately touch the ball it cannot be called handball. :janna:

If the great magnificent godlike barcelona, with god amongst men, need to discuss this handball cause afraid to lose the tie

then maybe they arent that good as people think.

If we had some italian teams with the quality they had in the 90ties... oh boy they'd rape
