Thats what they said about City and Chelsea and yet both won the league and the latter also the cl
It took Chelsea years to win the CL [and with their weakest and most pathetic squad yet, playing the most appalling football (if you can even call it that)]. Manchester City got owned by both Napoli and Bayern in the CL last season, and City almost threw away the title to a vastly inferior United with a very weak midfield.

Depending on what we do from now until the end of the Mercato, we could challenge if we had that group.

However, if we stay as we are, or Pazzini as our star signing in attack (and no JoJo), we stand no chance, and could finish bottom.

The best team doesnt always end up winning the champions League, just saying..there's a reason why it hasnt been successfully defended yet.

Its a season long tournament not a a 3 week or a month old tournament..If that was the case ,then Barca would have won it every year.Lot of luck and circumstances play a huge role for teams that desire to lift that coveted trophy.

I agree. We need more firepower.
I hope this summer's mercato isn't like last seasons. We need quality.

almost 15m of the budget has been spent on youth recruitment :D

We need to sell well to make a quality forward signing.

Quality wins you titles. We have a severe lack of quality in attack. Your defense might hold out in some games, but if you can't fucking score, you aren't going to win games ;)

Say we enter that hypothetical group of Bayern, Arsenal and PSG.

And we do end up signing Jovetic and Pazzini. Do you think Vucinic, Giovinco, Jovetic, Pazzini and Quagliarella/Destro are enough to get out of the group stages?

With that midfield and defence behind them, most definitely.

Damn, I miss leaving school/work early on a Tuesday or Wednesday with whatever BS excuse so I can see our boys on those glorious European nights :touched:

Madrid/Barca
City
Juventus
BVB

Definitely. I see us getting at least 10 points and progressing :D

With Higuain/Cavani in 2014, we are going to win the whole thing
