i wouldn't put Dortmund ahead of Atletico even. though i admit they improved a lot this season
Debatable too :) but I don't think they are the same side that reached that CL final, especially not with only Griezmann to score the goals and without Arda. I wouldn't want to play them (we are awful at set pieces) but I don't think they are Top 5 material ATM.

I didn't want to play you either before the draw, BTW. I knew you would give us a terrible time ;)
Between you and PSG I would have taken PSG every time and any time.

This loss hurts so much, way more than the final last year. We THREW this match away and that is what hurts not the fact that we lost but the fact that we had this game in the bag and were dominating them.

I still dont like the way we always end up pressed back in our own half against good teams. They never really fear us and can throw the kitchen sink at us as we inevitably fall deeper and deeper into our own half parking the bus.
I dont know why Juventus always does this. Everytime we have the upper hand in a crunch match... we instaturn into turtle mode no matter how much time is left and try to withstand instead of continue doing the job. Is ridiculous to do something like this against barcelona, real or baryen.. is like suicide.. but we keep doing it time after time. Its a sickness that is imbued in this team

The Morata goal was not even a 50/50 he was a full yard onside it's not like it was close where you can understand the ref not allowing it. We are never given the benefit of the doubt and like you said Bayern got the benedit of the doubt on every single decision in both matches.
To spend 50 minutes in our own half with no threat going forward is ridiculous. It's just begging to lose and like we saw with Evra all it takes is one mistake and they score because they are so close to goal all the time like that.
It has been for some time that we have been playing even against the referee. Against madrid some years ago and that red card..last year the foul on pogba...this year what happened on the 2 bayern games.

And maybe is not even the fault of those players. They just abuse the system that protects the "hype" teams of UEFA. Its the federation that lets this kind of shid happen. The only way i see us getting over this.. is by having a superb team which will roflstomp. Its insane and unffair.. and it drains a lot of the fun of watchng the Champions league. Im not saying that referees are bribed or something.. i dont wanna think that..but they naturally bend over to the higher forces and try to not fuck up a major team because that can backfire hardcore on them. Is way easier to poop on the lesser team than on one of the poster teams of UEFA.

I dont ever see us breaking out of that unless we get players that are able to run at defences and force other teams back and to play a bit more cautious.

The only reason we had a counter attack last night is because Allegri was forced to start Morata with injuries.
This is the core of all the matter. We simply lack more offensive players...more game changers who can turn the tides of the game on a whim. We have some of them like Pogba and Morata and Dybala...but our midfield apart from pogba and marchisio is fukin crap this year. I needs to eb said. Full of surpluses and injured. Very bad.

We need an spike in quality urgently on the midfield.... maybe a sole treq would not do.

This is a great piece by Gabriele Marcotti. And the comments under it are pretty reasonable as well.

We had the chance to finally destroy the Guardiola myth. Third season in a row to go out losing the return leg by a large margin. Now the imbecile is going to win the CL and kickstart again the hype machine.

The dissapointment is too much to bear. We are becoming the Arsenal of CL. Always choking and losing.

Fuck this shit.

its debatable between Atletico and Dortmund, but PSG is clearly ahead imo. i think in a head to head, it would be 2 close and hard fought games, but Atletico would still beat them mostly because they are masters at "their game" and their game is not something that suits Dortmund well. PSG based on player quality alone is clearly ahead. Ibra, cavani, Verratti, di Maria, Silva... their team is really impressive, so many wc players. the one thing we can agree on is that Dortmund is better than anything that comes out of that overhyped, moneyloaded trash that is called the PL. but still 7th when rating clubs to me

and good luck against Barca if you face them. if not, then i hope you go out ;). dont want to see Pep leave Munchen as a winner :inter:

People seriously care about Goal.com? It's the worst football site, and one of the worst news sites of any kind.
Its the most popular football site in the world. What they say really matters because it can improve or trash your club's image for many views.

The media can boost a player's profile a lot and that increases his valuation. More clubs and scouts take notice of him. Fans start to notice every good move he makes and rate him highly. That translates as fans wanting their clubs to buy that player. Hell even Fifa and FM affect people's perception of players and clubs. Price is a function of supply and demand and the media can really influence how much demand there is for a player. It will also influence that player's sponsorship money the more he is recognized as a star.

Pep's comment on Bonnucci boosted his public profile immensely and will probably continue to do so as more fans and journalists take note of him. Raiola has made sure the entire world takes note of Pogba and pushed his valuation up by crazy. I can bet that many people here were excited about Iturbe partly because of how he was on FIFA 12 and 13.

Juve should really invest in having good relations with the press. It will be reflected in opinion pieces written about us and player ratings after our matches. It will even affect how good our squad is made to be in FIFA and FM.

Thanks god i'll leave Munich today :inter:

We were fucking amazing , easly we could have scored at least 4 goals

I have to admit Bayern fans were really cool , i was celebrating like crazy and they were totally cool , but to bad in the end they celebrated

I am already thinking about next season , let's just keep Pogba please , we're really close to be in the top 3 clubs in the world , let's not.destroy this great team .

The difference between Milan and juve is during your golden period you still cant dominate in Europe, Milan will always be the best italian team in europe, get that into your thick skulls, losers.

Guys.. I couldn't imagine being this mad about getting kicked out by bayern at the beginning of the season.. We were almost relegation battelers but got our asses back in the scudetto race.. Too bad these things happen.. Now let's focus on winning the double in Italy and use that to jump up next year...

Should've murdered sevilla when we had the chance.. And bayern when we had the chance.. :(

I disagree. What our management, Coach and players say to the press influences the narrative of the post-match coverage. For people who did not watch the game, they might think it was a business as usual for Bayern kind of match, and our efforts might go in vain if news sites cover it in that manner.

Goal's narrative for instance, who I don't know why they hate us so much, has their post-match commentary painting Bayern as if they were asleep for 70 minutes and then when they woke up it was business as usual. Very little emphasis on how we disrupted their play, how much goal scoring chances we wasted and how the ref cancelled a legitimate goal. Almost no emphasis on the fact that we missed 3 key players and that Bayern got into the game only when we got exhausted.
What they did emphasize is Bayern's character and Guardiola's subs. This kind of reporting definitely affects both clubs' image and millions of people's perspective of the game. I am not commenting on the quality of Goal's coverage but rather the bias of its writers that is reflected in the narrative they pushed.

Similarly, the highlights that sites like footyroom put on also affect people's perception of the game. They were thorough in their highlights but did not include the cancelled goal which would have a significant effect on how people interpret the happenings of the game.

Through our post-match talk, I think we sent out 3 key messages. Buffon sent out the message that Juve should be proud of having given everything in the game and that we equalled Bayern against the odds. Marotta emphasized the fact that the refereeing screwed us and that we should have won. Allegri emphasized that we need to move on and learn from the game. This is good PR in my opinion.

What we should be doing more as a club in general is create better press relations with journalists in Goal and other hugely popular sites. Its a bad sign that a Juve-bashing article about something that occurred decades ago gets brought up last week on goal completely unnecessarily. They had an article about us doping in the 90s and made an analogy to Sharapova's case. This is very unusual because normally, Goal doesn't cover Tennis incidents that have nothing to do with Football in anyway and they don't dig up decades old dirt against any big club to remind people of it. This is completely uncalled for. It is not relevant to contemporary football at all. This kind of image tarnishing should be avoided by having better press relations with the biggest football site in the world.
This! This! Is what I have truly begun to feel ever since calciopoli, it's us against the world and why I value cl much above serie a, for some revenge against the entire footballing world.

I think it's the zacheryah sindrome, the thing that prefer grinta above technical quality, at some point the grinta couldn't overcome the opponents technical superiority that imposed the game to us

EXACTLY!!! We should learn to murder teams. I know we behave like aristocrats towards opponents who are 2 goals down, but we need to start demolishing everyone we could.

I know you are mad at losing and it's understandable that you react that way. But just to clarify; 1) I meant that we are never going to try to get Pogba, +100m players (which is his value) is not something we do 2) Yes, you deserves to win. We were very very veryyyy lucky 3) At the moment we stand no chance against Barça. I believe that with our starting defenders (Boateng and Javi Martinez), Alaba and Lahm playing to their real level, Pep not doing stupid things like fielding Xabi and an overall much better collective game, we can stand to them. But not now, definitively.

IMO, Juve is a top 5 club in Europe (Barça, Bayern, Juve, Dortmund, Madrid) so I'm proud to go through, but you deserved it more. So I'm just happy about a lucky day and hope the teams put a much better performance next round.
Fair enough.
Just one thing.I was really disappointed by Alaba.I rated him utmost but he was so slow ,error prone, very shaky.
Your best reinforcement will be Ancelloti.Way,way better coach than Pep.I am not italian so I am not biased, this a pure fact.

Yeah, meanwhile go and beat Sassuolo or Atalanta and tame Balloteli.Oh I forgot.See you at May 21 .It will be a real fun.Start with stupid excuses from now on.Mark my words ,as long as Galiani is your transfer chief you wont reach 4-th place in Serie A.Watch and see.

- - - Updated - - -

actually the difference is currently 19 points
Actually we must improve.Normal difference is 25 points.

And I just can not explain, even in Serie a ,why the fuck when we lead we have to park the bus last 20-25 minutes even if we can score more goals? It's not preserving the energy thing.

Besides a bunch of semi-literate Nigerians and other assorted braindead trolls that frequent that place, no serious football fans take that steaming pile of bullshit website seriously. It is the biggest joke in the world when it comes to football articles and "analysis" and everyone knows it. Fuck pandering to those clowns. The one way to create good press is to win the CL and building strong teams/dynasties. Not sucking up to mental midgets like Kris Voakes and Carlo Garbagenese.

i think he does have a point though. a lot of football fans must be eating that shit up, how else can you explain a club like Arsenal being so popular?

More popularity, more revenue and maybe we wouldnt have to watch Isco become Saponara every summer
