That's true; Sissoko and also Marchisio seem to me to be more useful on the sides of a three-man midfield.
If we put Sissoko in the hole next to Melo we'll get a good cover for the defence but we'll turn one dimensional like in a flat 4-4-2. The gape between the poles and the three attacking midfielders will increase and to move the ball further up we'll have to rely on the full backs thus leaving Momo and Melo to do more defensive duties closer to the box and we already know how dangerous is that.

So now you blame the manager but last year you jumped on everyone who blamed Ranieri? You and your virtu were everywhere that the players should be blamed because they don't follow the manager's instructions. What a hypocrite you are!
Yes but last season you would just attack anyone who blames the coach, what was the difference? Right, your hero was in charge.
Except that you used to scream like a whore on members blaming Ranieri now you scream like a whore against Ferrara. So something HAS changed. You're such a hypocrite and everyone realized that now.
I have been bashing Ferrara more than I bashed Ranieri, read my posts before you speak out of your ass. And now go to the toilet, Amaurisimo needs you with him.

Jack, you're my new hero !!!

With all due respect I think Ferrara might not be the right one for this Juve.
His inexperience really hurts the team. Except in the friendlies and in the match versus Roma, he has always been outwitted by the opponent's coaches: Gasperini, Blanc, Van Gaal and even Zenga and Papadopulo, you name it. Had Buffon & Co not have such heroic performances and had we not been that lucky, we would have been lost right at the first game against Chievo (remember the torture they gave us in the second half?).

Stubborn (always stick to the 4-3-1-2, always use 2 strikers etc), clueless (don't know what to do when we were losing), lack of match preparation skills (that was obvious) and lack of motivation skills (what did he do to make fighters like Iaquita and Amauri to act like a lazy-ass in match last night?) are his characters right now.

Of course he can learn and I believe he has the potential to become a good coach, but after spending like 60m this season, can we wait for him to learn from his mistakes? Every point we might lose at this moment would cost us dearly in the future.

But that is not the biggest problem. I fear that the biggest problem is: the longer the team fail to get a good result, the less the players put their trust in Ferrara. If the problem persists, one day they might just ignore the coach and do what they want in the pitch and that is something should never be allowed to happen in Juve.

So, my only hope is that Ferrara is able to learn and fix all the problems quickly in this two international week (and I doubt he is able to do that). Otherwise, the best way might be just to find a replacement coach. The only available option that I can see right now is Spaletti and if we want him we should act quick. Surely he is not perfect but I believe he would be much more experienced that Ferrara and would have done better than him. This serie A already has a Leonardo and that's enough!
I pretty much agree, but I dont think Spaletti can coach in Serie A again this season, after resigning from Roma (I read that somewhere, cant remember where)

Mancini, Delio Rossi, and hell even Serse Cosmi are better choices right now (ok, maybe I'm reaching with Cosmi, but he has experience)

Too bad we couldnt steal Gasperini from Genoa

Gazzetta reports that with Sissoko's return Ferrara will change formation to 4-2-3-1.
It'll probably look something like that:

----------------sissoko----------------Melo-----------------

--------Camo-----------Diego-----------Gio---------------

------------------------Trezeguet-------------------------

Personaly i don't like that formation because there are limits in it.

- If one of the trio (gio, camo and Diego) got injured or suspended no one will fill there place so will have to change the whole formation in that case.

- Marchisio is going to be benched and the guy was one of our best players so far this season.

IMO either 4-3-1-2 or 4-3-2-1 would be more Ideal taking into consideration the set of players that we have currently in the team......

It's like the current formation has no limits!
1. counter attacks, we suffer from counter attacks.
2. You need great fullbacks.
3. If Diego is off form, your team will go down.
4. Your team is too predictable.
5. Instead of Melo passing the ball only to Diego, he will have two more options
6. Useless long balls to Amauri and Iaquinta.
7. We can't keep possession of the ball.
I think there will be more points which I don't remember now :(

4-2-3-1 > 4-3-1-2

How would you know that the 4-2-3-1 will solve all of our problems (no one knows actually).

But atleast with the 4-3-2-1 or the 4-3-1-2 we have more options available whether in the starting 11 or on the bench thats my whole point.....
ATM it suits as more, I'm not saying it will solve our problems, but at least till Delpiero comes back this formation is much better, Unless we play 4-3-1-2 with Giovinco (as SS) and Trezegut in attack but not with two big boys like amuri iaquinta, or amauri trezeguet.

Time will tell but hopefully we'll adapt to whatever formation that Ciro chooses....

he knows the best for the team, since he meets them everyday and knows exactly their capabilities, I just don't like coaches who are stubborn and stick with one formation no matter what. I want him to be flexible since we have quantity (and quality) of players.

4-2-3-1? That means that the only way Diego, Camo et al will get the ball is via Melo and Sissoko (assuming those are the 2 chosen). It's bad enough with Melo as the holding midfielder giving away balls resulting in goals, but to leave him alone with just Momo to distribute is a bad idea.

:) too true

one adjustment I would suggest is to not leave Momo sitting in front of the DF...he's a bit too eager in the tackle and tactically irresponsible for that role

I think Melo has made that position very much his own, barring the one very costly bad pass he makes...barring that, he is absolutely class
