He sounds like one who has a plan, he has a goal. He's not there just to build the squad.
True, I think Ranieri was hiding behind the "We're rebuilding, we're working on it, they need to gel, I saw improvement, bla bla bla" excuses - which for a while the Management were tolerating...until our losing streak and Milan + Fio catching up.

Ferrara as "uno di noi" already understands the club's culture, and I seriously am optimistic that he will do well.

Maybe not a Scudetto right from the start, but I think we'll see some more attractive and effective football than last season.

I think Tiago will play as a regista which means Momo and Melo will occupy the middle and this sucks a bit because it means Marchisio will be a bench player. But it's ok because the midfield is really strong.
Nah, Melo will sit in front of the defence. Ciro looks like he's going to give Tiago another chance, but dont expect Tiago to be a starter from the onset.

For me it looks like this at the moment

Camoranesi Melo Sissoko
Tiago Zanetti Marchisio
Diego
Giovinco
Two of Iaq, DP, Am, Trez and Gio

Ciro said that Tiago can surprise us, not that he has a starting spot. He can always surprise us from the bench :D As for Marchisio, Ciro knows everything about his skills, so I wouldn't worry. I just hope he made a right choice between Tiago and Poulsen, who's working hard to impress him. I'd choose otherwise.

That's the most probable formation.

Camoranesi should be starting there anyway because he's better than Tiago and can provide some width and decent crosses. No two ways about it, he needs to play.

Hopefully Ciro can control his temper.

Sissoko doesn't have a temper. He just doesn't always control his tackles to the best of his ability.
You are right.. Camo has a very bad temper.. I haven't seen Melo so much but I hope he can controll himself better then Camo does sometimes.

Im counting that we will have many suspensions this year.. But we have backup in Marchisio ( if he doesen't start instead of Camoranesi) and Zanetti,Tiago.

Better than Camo:sergio:

Can't think of anyone worst than Camo when it comes to temper but Paolo Montero.

"Sometimes you have to stay away from certain declarations in order to allow others to be on the front pages.

"You can say Inter are the favourites. Milan and Fiorentina are also there. It's better to let the others make the front pages and for us to work in the dark."

Ciro Ferrara.

Cirooooo I fucking love you man.

Im very sure Ciro cannot be as stubborn as capello or as retarded as ranieri.

Even if we face some tough moments... i really trut the guy. He seems to have some brains.... unlike ranieri and unlike capello which was in love with ibrahimovic.

Buffon hails Coach Ferrara
Wednesday 15 July, 2009

Gianluigi Buffon hopes Pavel Nedved can join Ciro Ferrara’s staff, but bitterly criticised the Italian media.

“I think it is a reasonable proposal,” he said of the offer to recently-retired Nedved. “It would be the right way to move forward after eight years in which he gave heart and soul for the Bianconeri cause.”

The trio were teammates together at Juve and now Ferrara is taking on his first full season as Juventus Coach.

“He is very intelligent and well-prepared. He would be able to fulfil any role in the world of football. Ferrara was always very precise and demanding on the field, so it’s only normal he demands the same of his players.

“He can laugh and joke off the pitch, but on it he is a real tough cookie.”

Buffon has not had his best year, including a spell on the sidelines due to a back injury, and saw his status as world number one taken by Inter goalkeeper Julio Cesar.

“Last season Julio Cesar had five extraordinary months, but I don’t see the need to praise him by insulting me. That is not the right way to be a journalist.

“It is true that I conceded many goals, but we must also see how they were let in. In some goals, if you excuse the expression, it was like shooting at someone who was sitting on the toilet reading a newspaper.”

The Juventus goalkeeper considered a huge proposal from Manchester City in January, but explains why he turned it down.

“I could not have easily left Juve for a club that to this day seems like a building site in progress,” he told Sky Italia.

“My family is happy in Turin and I would’ve thought very carefully before making a move like that.

“I’m glad I stayed at Juventus, especially as the directors have made us one of the few clubs to balance the books and have an auspicious future ahead of them.”
