Alessio Tacchinardi has terminated his Juventus contract after 11 seasons, so he is now a free agent.
“We wish Alessio all the best for his career and thank him for his support in the success of the team,” read a statement on the official club website.
The decision came after the midfielder had spent the last 18 months on loan at Spanish side Villarreal.
In his Bianconeri career Tacchinardi won five Scudetti, the Champions League, Intercontinental Cup, European Super Cup, Coppa Italia and four Italian Super Cups.
He managed 404 appearances in 11 seasons, but Juve opted not to keep him after the arrival of Tiago Mendes and Sergio Almiron.
