Chelsea Hammered By Uefa
3/21/2005 12:10:00 PM
Uefa has charged Chelsea, Jose Mourinho, Steve Clarke and club security official Les Miles with bringing the game into disrepute.
The action relates to "false declarations" in a report sent by the club following the Champions League second-round first-leg tie with Barcelona at Camp Nou last month.

Mourinho accused Barca coach Frank Rijkaard of entering the referee’s room during half-time and talking to Anders Frisk.

"Uefa today announced the opening of disciplinary proceedings against Chelsea FC, head coach Jose Mourinho, assistant manager Steven Clarke and security responsible Les Miles, for making false declarations, notably in the complaint sent by Chelsea FC following the UEFA Champions League match played against FC Barcelona at the Camp Nou on 23 February 2005,” read a Uefa statement.

"By further disseminating these wrong and unfounded statements, Chelsea FC allowed its technical staff to deliberately create a poisoned and negative ambience amongst the teams and to put pressure on the refereeing officials."

And with the Premier Leauge enquiry into the "Ashley Cole" tap-up "scandel" Chelsea could be hit hard soon...They should get a 10 point deduction...

(In some countries if a team is "proven" to have "tapped-up" a player, that team is "dropped" a division...

I like Anders Frisk and I was really angry when I red he resigned and when Mourinho talked sh1t about him. I've met him a number of times and talked a little to him, and he is a really nice guy! Doesn't deserve this

Anyways, chelski will never be accepted into the G14. For a club to be accepted all the members have to agree, and I think Barcelona, Manyoo and Juve will have reason to object.

Really? Players are brough at a desk...And do you think it isnt wrong for Chelsea to "tap-up" Cole? Like I said, if they played in some countries, they'd be in the Championship for doing that, I'd say 10 points is "minor"...
