    So nice pics, Sally...

    Is that you with Rambulla??

Anyway, here are some info about our team:

Only four players are there from our primavera who won the Primavera Cup last April. Those are Yobie Bassaoule, Alessandro Dantoni, Giorgio Merlano and Nicola Cosentini. Chiarenza had to make a mix from three age-group categories – the Primavera squad, the Berretti and Allievi Nazionali.

The others left on loan or co-ownership deals.

    Players that may impress:

1- Bassaoule: He is a Burkina Faso Under-20 international, who tasted action in the African Under-20 Championship in Congo earlier this year and is versatile enough to play in either defence or midfield.

2- Somalia’s attacking talent Ayub Daud

    3- Goalkeeper Carlo Pinsoglio

4- Ivory Coast defender Abdoulaye Bamba

    5- Simone Esposito

Ajax 0 - 0 Arsenal, two players sent off (one from each team), it's that bloody Arsenal player's fault, dont think Ajax's needed sending off

Msia conceded a last minute goal and a stupid one at that :(

    Milan drew yes!

    CMON JUVE!!!!!!!!!!

Juventus confident about their chances of entering final

KUANTAN: The Italians fired the first salvo even before the kick off of their Champions Youth Cup (CYC) campaign, saying that one of the finalists of the tournament will come from Group B.

And coach Vincenzo Chiarenza said yesterday that Juventus were good bets to make the grade.

The Italians will give a picture on whether they are good enough to get to the final in their opening match against Qatar at the Darulmakmur Stadium in Kuantan today.

“We are not underestimating any team. Qatar have a physical approach and we have to contain them but it is not going to be easy under the humid weather conditions here,” said Chiarenza.

However, he said that the last couple of days in training here under the scorching heat had helped them to more or less adapt to the conditions.

On the positive side, Juventus will not be short of experienced hands. They have Burkina Faso Under-20 international Bassaoule Yobie and Ivory Coast defender Bamba Abdoulaye. They also have attacking midfielder Daud Ayub from Somalia.

Chiarenza said that their other two opponents Paris St Germain (PSG) and Barcelona needed no introduction.

“These are two skilful sides and our matches against them will be exciting ones,” said Chiarenza.

PSG will open their campaign against Barcelona tonight and the team ambassador for the French side, Simba Amara, sees it as a final showdown.

“If the luck of the draw had been different, these two teams (PSG and Barcelona) could well be playing in the final. Anyway, it will be a cracker in the opening game itself,” said Amara.

PSG coach David Bechkoura said that the CYC would offer the right kind of preparation for his team before their domestic competition in which they would gun for a podium finish again.

“We were third last season. We want to at least maintain our ranking,” said Bechkoura, who led the team to a champions' finish in 2005.

PSG will be counting on their mastermind in midfield Partouche Maxim to bring them a favourable result.

    boca played wonderfully yesterday.

Barcelona came back from a goal down to edge Paris Saint Germain 2-1 in a brilliant encounter but if that was a smasher of a tie, the earlier match concluded in stunning fashion when Qatar held Juventus to a scoreless draw.

Juventus created numerous chances but failed to hit the mark but their hopes plunged when Guiseppe Leta was given the marching orders after a tackle on captain Abdelaziz Hatim Mohamed in the 50th minute.

Qatar however failed to capitalize on their advantage and shared the spoils with the Italian giants. It was a great start for the Asian side who were considered the minnows in the group.

In the second match, a brace from Barca substitute David Rodriguez Miquel within a spell of two minutes (in the 55th minute and 57th minute) provided the Spaniards with an important victory.

The 18-year-old Miquel, who came on as a substitute early in the second half, struck the equaliser with a low drive after receiving a crisp pass in the box from teammate Walter Fernandez.

Just as the PSG players were trying to re-organize themselves, Miquel hit them again two minutes later, this time with a long distance effort that sailed into the net, past an off position keeper Anthony Dauvergne.

Earlier, PSG drew first blood in the in the 45th minute through Ted Bolongo who turned in a pass from teammate Ce’dric Nkoum.

The first half of the match saw no goals thanks to some excellent saves from both the goalkeepers, Barcelona’s Ruben Mino and PSG’s Anthony Dauvergne.

After the break the game became physical and the umpire was forced to dish out two yellow cards in within two minutes.

Barca coach Alejandro Garcia Casanas said the win was very important. “The first match is always a great influence on the rest of the tournament,” said Casanas who despite the win termed the match as very tough.

“It was a difficult match as they (PSG) played a strong game and it made matters worse when we found ourselves one goal down. But Miquel’s two goals came as a relief and we will work hard to make past this group matches,” added Casanas.
