They will play open though which hopefully we can exploit.

I think in this game we were a little unlucky. We deserved a win here, there have been far more frustrating draws. Motta is in a tough spot with the striker situation, we need a solution fast.
An Unai Emery side in Europe will never be playing ‘open.’

Mckennie should've played as a right midfielder instead of koop when he subbed on.
He could provide support.and width that Chico needed. Savona couldn't go higher on the pitch to cover defense as kalulu move more left when in possession to cover zegrova and Koop isn't really suit on the side.

It's the second time I miss Juve match, I fall asleep before starting the match. I just watched the Highlights and we had more chances than them.

Not a bad performance & I think we were slightly better than them. Then again, if it wasn't for the penalty we most likely wouldn't have scored, so in the end it's probaly a fair result.
And I don't mind playing without a striker / Vlahovic, but it clearly didn't work yesterday.

A top 8 finish was always going to be unrealistic, I think. But I don't really see us finishing bottom 8 either. I'm ok with that.

We’ll most certainly reach the playoffs and it will then depend a lot on who we get to face there to determine if we can actually get to the KO’s, realistically that was always the expectation, otherwise if we still somehow manage to insert ourselves among the top 8 it would surely be a more than pleasant surprise, punching above our weight even.

The truth is that to automatically qualify, we'd need to win nearly all the matches and we knew that wouldn't happen. Even the heavyweight teams are struggling, but coming down to the last couple of matches, they'll have the experience to go through as the top 8.

It wasn't a bad performance, we controlled the game and just didn't have the quality finish or make those really clear cut chances. If we had a goal scoring mid, we easily win the game and that's been my issue with the team. When the front 3 get shut out, you need someone from midfield to play almost as an extra striker and finish those chances. If Koopmeiners improves, he fills that role. If not, wait for Nico to return and put Yildiz in the middle with Vlahovic. Our wingers are not lethal enough for us to rely on them only and Vlahovic, the extra mid is needed and the overlap from the LB and RB.

I'll take a point here. This was always going to be a dangerous away game.

With the lack of squad depth I'd rather we focus on Serie A. As long as we qualify from the League phase, that's good enough.

Lille are a poor side. A couple of decent players in attacking areas mixed with mediocre players at the back. Shit to draw that game, lost all impetus following the 3 substitutions and never came back again.

We create so little in the middle of the pitch and rely solely on the wingers to create something.
How can they be a poor side and in the same time earn 7 points against both Madrid teams and us?

They looked it tonight, simply played on the counter attack at home whilst being highly dependant on a couple of quality players. Their defenders looked shaky on the ball and Andre looked about as slow as Arturd.
We’re told they had a lot of injuries so they could’ve been different in the other games I clearly haven’t watched in any detail, aside from that comical Guida penalty in the Atleti game and Real have been also erratic.

Zagreb also have 7 points so that’s no measuring stick.

Stuttgart could similarly call us a poor side if they judged us on the filth we delivered against them.
