We had a massive amount of luck there. A great game by some of our players, but we were very lucky. I'm not going to be any less happy about the victory, but I would like to point out that it's almost impossible to understand why Giovinco didn't make an appearance. We really needed him when we were under pressure.

My report

We played a great game looking at the injuries we faced before this match and also looking at the "crisis" that was surrounding us in the last 1month.

Tactically, this was probably one of Ranieri's best matches alongside the Udinese match and another match can't remember. Though he didn't had too many options but he played it smart this time. Moving Nedved to the CM after Marchisio had to leave the pitch and introducing Hasan later and put him on the left was smart.

Also I'm glad he didn't play Giovinco because he was the last thing we need in this match. Iaquinta was the perfect sub he could make and replace one of the attackers. Had we replaced Giovinco with any of Nedved, Hasan or Marco we would have been in realy trouble.

Our men were Gladiators tonight. From the Captain Ale till Molinaro and Manninger. I'm proud of them although we're not doing pretty good in Serie A. But sticking together as a team/squad, brought back some old memories. Specially the Serie B one...:touched:

Ratings

Manninger 6.5 Happy to have such a solid backup keeper to Gigi, unlike Chimenti

Grygera 6.5 You can really depend on him....Solid match
Mellberg 5.5 Wasn't at his best, I know he can do better
Chiellini 7 Gladiator, Warrior, Lion...You name it. Future Captain
Molinaro 6 Not a bad first half, decent 2nd half

Sissoko 7.5 Fantastic performance, such a stamina he's got
Hasan 6.5 Unstoppable. I loved and admired his performance.
Nedved 7 Switching positions isn't easy, but he was outstanding playing CM
Marco 5.5 Too many mistakes, too many awful passing.

Amauri 7.5 Top, top, top. My MVP of this match. He did everything tonight.
Del Piero 7 Leading this team on his way and scoring one of his finest goals.

Marchisio
Legro

(Both were decent and good in their first halfs...I'm sorry for Marchisio and I hope Legro recovers soon).

Ranieri...Well done.

This time I don't agree concerning Giovinco. We needed anything but him TBH. We needed a physical player that can defend. Taking out any of Brazzo or Marco and putting Giovinco in would be playing one man down.

Ranieri did well to keep Marco and Hassan on the pitch.

I'm with Rab regarding Giovinco.
I love the boy and i'm very loud whenever Ranieri isn't giving him a chance, but he was the last man we needed in the second half of this match.

Yes, maybe he could have sparked a counter but we'd have been left with a man less in defense and we couldn't afford it. Imo, we'd have been closer to conceding than scoring with Giovinco on the pitch.

P.S: That's if he replaced one of the midfielders. If he replaced Del Piero (who was our last man in attack when Iaquinta replaced Amauri) then it could've been ok, although i don't think much would've changed.

Yeah the 3-5-2 is very different from a 4-4-2 or 4-5-1.

Here in the states most kids learn to play a 3-5-2, and we can't play any other formation to save our lives :)

How about that Del Piero? I love the little artist! And I'm just said Diarra was injured - I wanted to see him go toe to toe with Sissoko. WOuld be mouthwatering to see those tackle for a 50-50

HOW GREAT!
Just remember that I, as a Juventus fan, have never, and never will be supporting Internazionale in what circumstance it might be. Sometimes I wonder if there's a thing I hate more then the Inter jersey.

I still wanna c Ranieri FIRED!

according to this victory which gave as the lead of the group & sprit against one of the most prepared teams in Europe , we need him now !

if he does any stupid things that result in fuckin' bad disaster again , then we should find a new coach ,

careful CR , Toro match wouldn't be so much easy , another lose & your ass will be kicked out of Turin !

Mate... there where already 2 subs made. Amauri was empty with force. In Iaquinta for the open spaces and fighting for the long balls.
