Even Ranieri deserves some applause as he was daring and put in a great formation that did what had to do, and trusted in Giovinco who repayed him by playing great.
If theres only one bad thing I can say about Ranieri today is that he should have brought on Amauri sooner rather than later for trezeguet but overall he did well. Also taking Iaquinta off was a bad idea maybe we could have taken of dp for giovinco, he could have been a little more sensible and adventurous at the same time. However I have no real complains...

I hate to break this lovefest of being glorious in losing but I have to. We lost this tie at Stamford bridge as Chelsea as I have been saying for so long are nothing special.

I knew it will be extremely difficult to keep them out and that proved the case but it should have been oh so different if the manager was just a little bolder in the 1st leg and look for an away goal at all cost.

His starting formation was good and contrary to some I thought was aided by Nedved's injury as it made Iaquinta more dangerous because prior to that he was pretty ineffective on the right flank.

Sissoki would not have made any bit of difference so please Id hate to read that his absence was felt. He is there to break up play and at we were not outplayed so he would have been of no use since he cannot pass the ball.

Marchisio and Tiago did well in the hustling department pity that Tiago does not see a pass early and Marchisio is not a very good passer of the ball.

Not sure why Iaquinta was taken off or what Sali was doing on the field at all but I was totally mystified that Trez was the 1 pulled off for an Amauri who really should never have been on the bench in the 1st place and would have been mystified as well as hurt to be on the bench and to come on that late was weird but with 12 minutes to go, I cannot see why Trez was taken off as it did not matter if we lost or whatever we would still have been out but with all those attackers we could have scored but Ranieri does not take those kinda risks.

Well for the 1st time I was impressed with Giovinco and really it is a disgrace that he has not played more this season.

Not sure why Dp was playing too deep and sometime even like a quarter back as that is not his forte.

Chiellini may or may not have deserved the sending off but I hate the way he blocks off attackers unnecessarily and Drogba is not the kind of player u wanna be shoulder charging but he really needs to calm down.

Buffon will not look at the Essien equaliser with pride because it was all that hullaballoo that distracted both he hand his team mates to lead to that goal as he should have done so much better with the freekick.

All in all we played well but ultimately are out in the 2nd round of champions league because of what happened in the 1st leg and this squad needs more quality as they have all the heart in the world but too little quality unfortunately.

Anyways it could have been worse I could have been supporting Sporting Lisbon

it's debatable, as subbing out del Piero wud've caused an uproar with some of the fans. besides, DP's free kick threat was a good reason to keep him. no one takes FK's as good as him in our team. IQ did look a lil frustrated as usual in the game, so maybe getting him out was a good idea. but all 3 forwards gave so much that arguing which one to sub wud've been a very difficult decision.

So how come Chiellini got a red people? any news on that? I'm guessing it was something he said/ his reaction or something like that? Surely it couldn't have been the challenge?

Trez did fuck all apart from the setting up of Vinny and a header all game. Giovinco was awesome. I was screaming for him to come on and what an entrance!!!. Im proud of the guys tonight, that cunt ref fuct the game with the chiellini sending off cos Drogba was in his pocket all night. As ranieri says we lost it in London. But the boys gave it there all tonight and i cant argue.

reaction to what? it cant of been as bad as the entire chelsea squad surrounding the ref over the penalty and not giving a single one of them a booking for it.

refereeing inconsistancy :wallbang:

If we were honest, the english will keep dominating due to the amount of money they keep recving.
however not to worry folks, their national team keeps getting worse as a result of this. Hopefully they will become a nothing team come in the next 10 years
The EPL is a pile of credit default swaps waiting to happen.

Yeah agree it is debateable although to be fair dp started to look a little out of the match and found it difficult to run against ashley cole and all of a sudden we were not penetrating enough on the right wing. I can only assume Iaquinta was taken off because he was possibily tired because he looked it but what a player imo the guy should play more often.

so much to be proud of...the performance...the goals...our determination n class(witness how chiellini/the team did not make a scene after his red...the game woulda been stopped for 5 mins had it been a chelsea player)...but my MOTM award goes to the fans....the ones at the stadium and the ones online....tonite Juventus were grande

Damn it I didn't see the Juventus (Team Play) in the amn of the match option!

I thought we did ourselves proud today, and had it not been for a deflected shot I believe we would have done the job today.

Cannot fault a single player, we showed the real Juventus spirit and that we aren't far off truely competing in Europe; which considering where we were two seasons ago is remarkable.

I thought the ref was terrible tonight, so fussy. Chelsea's freekick that drogba nearly scored from wasn't one, too many needless calls, cannot believe Beletti didn't even get booked and Cech could have gone. Chiellini was foolish to dive in but again the ref got it wrong and that really cost us.

Forza Juve!

I'm sad and proud at the same time. We did everything right, the Juve spirit was there, the luck wasn't. I'm not even that dissappointed, because I saw a lot of positive things, I just couldn't stop the tears when Nedved left the pitch. Seeing him hurt and wanting to continue was one of the most emotional moments for me as a Juventino. What a fighter, what a player and most of all what a person. FORZA PAVEL NEDVED

Ranieri did nothing wrong, the team tried everything they could, I've never been this proud of Juve.

Once again,

FORZA JUVENTUS

the red card was for the tackle I am certain, he only complained after his booking. Ref made a horrible mistake.
