What to say? It sucks to be knocked out. But that's the cards. Still, I think our boys did us proud and kept Chelsea wetting themselves throughout the match. Well done, and great heart in the second-half.

Even if the ref was a complete douche bag and I do not want to see him referee a match for any other CL team for any other CL game in the future of the tournament.

Buffon - 6.5 - Awesome save on the bogus FK for the non-existent Tiago handball. Nice play at the end to stop a third goal. Not much he could do about the other two.

Grygera - 6 - One of his better matches, but that still is saying little.

Mellberg - 6 - Held his ground at times, but wasn't as much of a presence as we needed.

Chiellini - 6.5 - Only ding is for the rough tackles from behind, but he got the ball for his second yellow. Bogus call. Was immense when he was called upon otherwise. I would have given him MoM, but for the red card and not being able to finish.

Molinaro - 6 - You can partly fault him for Chelsea's second goal, but we were also down a man and needing to score forward to stay alive. Otherwise I thought he was pretty effective overall. Would have been a 6.5 if not for that last goal.

Nedved - NR - We missed him dearly.

Tiago - 6.5 - Generally decent match. Some good passes and DM activity.

Marchisio - 6.5 - Not that I didn't miss Sissoko, but I didn't miss him today with Marchisio as his replacement. Great veteran performance. This guy is a keeper. My MoM since Chiellini was ousted.

Del Piero - 5 - Could do very little all day, save for the PK.

Trezeguet - 6.5 - Fantastic assist. Some really dangerous touches. So glad he's back. A contender for MoM... if only he had more touches.

Iaquinta - 6.5 - Good game. Great clinical finish on the goal. Not too much productive involvement otherwise, but did what we needed with Trez's brilliant assist.

Subs:

Brazzo - 5.5 - When he's on the pitch, he never creates anything. The best he can do is fill holes and try not to screw up. Unfortunately, when you're down 1-0 without an away goal, you're the wrong person for the job. Not his fault. But could not make an impact.

Giovinco - 7.5 - Brilliant and fantastic stuff. Could have been MoM if only he was on the pitch longer. Should have been called to sub for Nedved. Changed the match when he came in, even being a man down.

Amauri - 5.5 - Not many touches, and did little with them. Off his game.

Coach:

Ranieri - 6 - Credit for picking the trident (great adjustment), having the gameplan that got us up 1-0. But failure for subbing Brazzo for Nedved when we needed Giovinco. He sort of corrected for it by putting on Giovinco late, but only at the expense of Iaquinta who wasn't having a bad day.

I gave him bonus points because the team overall looked better than Chelsea, but we got dicked over by Nedved's injury and a bad referee.

Ref:

Mallenco - 4 - Do not ever, ever ref a CL match for anyone ever again. The only critical call he got right was the two-handed hand ball that gave us the PK. He blew the Tiago handball call. He blew the Chiellini second yellow that changed the game. He blew Cech handling the ball outside of the box. Shit refereeing -- no excuses.

Pretty sad to see you out, gobbi : I was definitely cheering for you this year. Hope you keep investing on Italian youngsters. Also hope to see a meteorite fall on Old Trafford tomorrow night and that only Davide Santon survives.
The English are already reveling in their feat. Too bad that only means doom for their own national team. They love their Ponzi scheme but little do they know they're 90% an international organization. And I love that fact.

By the way, this just shows Ranieri is at fault for not playing Giovinco more. I could make my case for Ranieri's resignation but I won't right now. All I have to say is the team has been screwed by not playing Seba more.

With this spirit we will destroy everything on our way in serie A. It probably won't be enough to win the scudetto, but we'll be THE team of the last 3 months. Yeah, we have many injuries. It doesn't matter. With tonight's spirit no-one can even touch us.
The Coppa will be won, though. No way we're ending this season trophyless.

It's okay. No matter what tactics or crap we use, the likes of Seba, Marchisio, Tiago and basically the whole team under pressure has shown it doesn't choke, which is far more than that faggot John Terry can say. I hope to see his ass choke so many more times it will be amazing to watch.

I'd give 6 for Brazzo... We needed somebody to hustle the Chelsea players and he did it today... He didn't create much but in the packed midfield he made sure they didn't get away easily... He made the dirty tackles and fouls...

Looking at the players he had at his disposal Ranieri did good. I won't criticise him whatsoever for this game.

please andy, for once can we not play the blame game, i couldn't have asked for more from both ranieri and the players tonight. Tonight should be a reminder as to why we support such a great team, not reasons to slate it

Screw them their whole league is a joke, their NT is the biggest joke and their fans are the most ignorant fans that i've seen in this sport.

Words cannot describe the pride that fills now towards this team. When Milan was demoated to serie b for FIXING A MATCH (unlike us) and were not stripped from their titles (unlike us) and were not given a heavy financial debt (unlike us) and were not given points deduction (unlike us) they could not handle the pressure on their first season after promotion and they got relegated again due to bad performance.

We instead held our heads high. Finished last season 3rd, although we should've at least finished second with Roma winning the tilte (if not us) due to "unfortunate ref calls on our behalf". And this season we were given a really bad injury crisis from the day 1 and yet we are maintaining a 2nd place and trying to close up the gap against inter who are fortunate enough to receive "ref mistakes in their favor" and are in the semi final of the coppa italia.

In the champion's league we were given the toughest group where people doubted our abilities to qualify, yet we finished first. We met chelsea in London where we were unfortunate to concede a goal yet we delivered a decent match against all odds.
And tonight, just when we thought things might be ok. Our team suddenly were faced with the absence of Sissoko, Camoranesi, Marchionni and Legro. Then 10 min into the game Nedved gets injured. Yet, the team held its pride and fought like men till the last second of the game and barely lost the games on aggregate.

I love you Juve from the bottom of my heart. You are without doubt the best team in the world and the best team in history. No team no matter what could have survived half of the unjust you went through. I am proud to be a Juventino and will always continue to cheer for you for the rest of my life.

I am upset that we are of the Champion's League, and I am serious when I say that the Champion's League is the one who lost not us. The Champion's League will now continue without the best team in the world.

Forza Juve forever..

And what about our first goal? Wasn't that magic?
What about that action that resulted with Trez's saved header?

It looks like we can play football afterall. Then lets relax, lets give the boy more chances and lets play football.

Comparing the players at Hiddink's disposal towards ours, the difference is obvious.

But as I said, too bad for the Brit idiots who think this sort of thing is good news for them.

Forza Italia compared to these freaks. It must be said.
