Well, the safest bet would be a 1-1 draw. But I believe we definitely can turn it. However, Bayern got themselves a boost in self esteem yesterday and will it be very tough to alienate them. In the first leg they did a good job eliminating Pirlo as well as his guards Marchisio and Vidal. I don't really care that Vidal has been more visible on the pitch, they did a good job shutting down MVP altogether and I bet they will not change their strategy in the return leg. It's a good question how Conte wants to free Pirlo and Marchisio on Wednesday.

Well, Barzagli, Chiellini, Pirlo, and Marchisio did not play against Pescara.

Based on Conte's talks before the Bayern match, he is likely to go with 3-5-2 again. So that means Padoin, Isla or Caceres at right wing back. Asamoah may actually take the left flank.

Best guess at Conte'f formation would be: Buffon-Barzagli-Bonucci-Chiellini-Padoin-Pogba-Pirlo-Marchisio-Asamoah-Vucinic-Matri

I would rather see a back 4 with Caceres taking right back and have Vucinic & Asamoah alternating the flanks and have Matri as the centre forward. Giovinco is out. Normally, Isla would the be right person to have on the right side but Conte clearly doesn't trust him.

Yeah, maybe that's the way go. Enforce the wings to decrease the pressure on center midfield, eventually giving Pirlo and Marchisio more air to breath. Nevertheless, that's a predictable move and won't be a big surprise.
