People say they believe in the team, but then they don't claim that we could have done better yesterday against a Chelsea side that I wasn't all that impressed with. There is such a disconnection between some members of the forum in the way they perceive certain situations... when in reality everybody wants the same thing.

Chelsea fan quotes:

why don't we have a Marchionni? He gave Ashley nightmares and it took Hiddink a fair while to do anything about it.

I got a good view of him in the second half, being right in the West corner of the Shed Lower. I thought he was their stand-out player. Great work rate and caused us all sorts of problems.

But no, of course, the realists of our forums are right to say that he was crap this game.
 Glad to see the chelsea fans were watching the same game as I did. As I said yesterday our best players were Marchionni, Nedved and Amauri

Andy, it's a well known fact that people perceive situations in different ways. How boring would it be if we all perceived situations alike?

That was a disappointing finish. I thought we would for sure snatch an away goal in the last 20 minutes or so.

I still have faith we can get them back in the second leg and hopefully advance.

Chelsea certainly look a lot better under their new boss, and Drogba is a terrifying striker.

Are you the other Vinnie's alter ego?

funny to see so many ppl here accepting such a pitiful Juve performance...lets see if you feel the same way in 2 weeks time, when were eliminated

maybe some of you should consider supporting a mediocre team like Empoli, since you can tolerate and accept losing
First of all, our performance was not that bad. We were awful in the first 10-15 min then we picked up. its not because of chelsea backing off. This is our problem during the whole season. We lack concentration in the first few moments of the game. If we don't concede we would mostly win, but if we do we keep on running after the equalizer.

We are not playing the likes of Empoli in our home in the italian cup, we are in a knock out rounds of the champions league playing chelsea away.

I cannot say I wish we would have scored a goal or not have lost at all. But looking at the over all picture, I will keep on the faith till the last moment of the return leg.

We might not have Inter's squad, nor Chelsea's finances. In addition, we've been hit by the plague and we've been playing the same 11 every single game whatever the competition is during the whole season. We are still competing on all three competitions. I am proud of our players and team.

You do realise that we spent more money in 2 seasons than Chelsea have as Roman seems to be spending more money paying to ex managers than players.

To the person that said 1 chelsea fan out of thousands praised Marchinonni thereby making Marco to be some fantastic talent, please bear in mind that they have Malouda in that position so anything is an improvement in his eyes.

Seeing that Fiorentina went out to an Ajax side that is trailing AZ Alkmaar, Milan went out to a Werder Bremen side that is struggling in Germany, Sampdoria went out to Metallist; no Italian side has scored a goal against an Epl side away from home in 2 seasons, it is making the Italian league seem like a joke.

It is very possible that after the 2nd leg matches only Udinese will be in Europe.

Seriously Arsenal and Chelsea are having their worst seasons since Wenger took over and Ranieri was in charge respectfully and are still were relatively comfortable against Italian sides.

Apart from DP's shot that Cech parried and Trez's miss what other good chances did we create in 90 minutes? How can you be satisfied with that?

I don't think anyone can ever be satisfied when Juve lose, but the notion that Chelsea are miles ahead of Juve has been disproved...we need to get Ale involved and string together passes a LOT better than yesterday....if we can do that, I think we are definitely going to beat the Londoners
