Liverpool surely broke them but to me their meltdown started years earlier, Juve demolished them 3-0 and Roma managed to knock them out after they won 4-1 in the first game.

The Liverpool game was the final nail in the coffin.
after tonight. they are six feet under. rip.

Dont they have an election coming up? Must mean this current president and management gets voted out unanimously after this. Final nail on the coffin, after like 10202th nails on it after last few years.
it's in 12 months time, and not only that but if he's voted out he has to ensure the club's debts are paid off because its a law that an outgoing president can't leave the club in debt, and there for it comes out of his and the directors pockets which really leaves them fucked because they can't afford to invest big whilst they are struggling to offload anyone to finance any new moves.

At the same time he won't want to go down as the president who lost messi, so it's equally in his best interest to try and build a team convincing enough to win another term as well as keeping messi on board.

@JuveJay just read on a local site that this is the first time since '46 barcelona conceded 8 goals in any competitions. this is their most heavy defeat and most goals conceded in europe, their previous worst defenses were a 6-2 defeat vs valencia in '62 and an 5-4 beating by levski sofia from '76.

There is no such law. They have some tradition about a certain sum over a yearly limit but they won't pay half a billion euros. It will be club's debt even if they leave.

Has to be, there is no way that makes any sense. They are obligated to leave the club in good state, well balanced books, no stink bomb left behind etc. But to be forced to pay the actual operating costs and debts out of your pocket? (this is not Eibar, this is the 2nd largest sporting organisation on the planet) Bitch please, they would do that if they owned the club, not when they elected to the position.

Some juve players should learn a thing or two from Pique.
