It's a bit ironic though that people on here cry when we drop deep at times and then are disgusted over teams that try to press high throughout and push plenty of men forward even when winning.

Monaco still not out of it. If they play like they did in the first 60 minutes, they have a good chance of beating City by 2 goals at home.

Leverkusen most certainly are though. Don't see them scoring 3 at the Calderon.

Hmm. We were involved in a 6 goal thriller against Bayern last season, and it was arguably the best game of the entire campaign. People want to watch free flowing, attacking football. The marketers and advertisers aren't paying, and won't be paying mega bucks for drab 0-0 draws with solid dacdics; I can guarantee you that. Having said that, while the attacking displays on show tonight were impressive, the shoddy defending left a lot to be desired. Absolutely abysmal.

I'm fully aware of that, but I'm sure some hypocrites on here would have been marveling at our attacking display had we won a game 5-2, or even 4-2 for that matter. The fact that two other teams were involved only brings to light the defensive deficiencies.

The game against Bayern was a much better game, between much better teams. It cannot even really be argued. While there were defensive lapses in that match, by both us and Bayern, it was nowhere near the shit fest that City-Monaco was today. 8 goals. There could have been 15.

City and Monaco. Tactically inept. But EPL dummies will call it a great match of football. Never mind that the two teams were absolute clueless on the defensive side.
Just like their coach, they don't "feel" like defending, so they just don't defend.

You gotta feel it, you know? I met John Stones once, great guy, not a good defender, but a very very nice guy.
