Assuming we get past Monaco I'm going to book a hotel in Cardiff for the Fri/Sat and take it from there.
I take it hotel prices has gone absolutely crazy over there, especially since its a small city. But London is nearby so it shouldnt be too bad if its hard to find.

London isn't close at all, not in practical terms. Bristol is a nice and fair-sized city nearby, and you've also got Swansea. Worst case scenario Birmingham is closer than London. There's plenty of places if people struggle with Cardiff around then.

I heard London was 2 hours away, but closer cities are better. A friend is planning on going, I considered it but I won't, feels bit hollow without match ticket. Without it rather go to Torino again for victory parade if we win.

London is about 3 - 3.5hrs away. Don't forget you gotta pay to cross over the River Severn if you're driving by car about £6-7.

I'd imagine there would be a lot of people renting out their rooms at AirBnB though. Was the same for the Euros at least.

It's about 3 on a good day, but London is bad getting in and out of so will probably be more. Swansea or Bristol are an hour away. Obviously if you've never been to London or not many times it might be worth a trip if you want to turn it into a tourist visit. Cardiff is a pretty good city centre though, I've been a couple of times for rugby and there are plenty of pubs and the atmosphere was good.

People can stay in Llandough, Penarth, Lavernock, Wenvoe, Tongwynlais or any other place in the Shire really.

Penarth  What a culture shock that would be for our members under 75 years old.

Where you really want to stay is Porthcawl. Dat theme park and beach, childhood memories :touched:
