So are you saying they have no rights to enjoy international football just because of non football related matters?

Just admit it already, you guys are racists, because it doesn't matter if they joined uefa, conmebol, concafcaf or whatever, all are the same..
What? Why didn't you use anti-semitic?

Sure you've read "How to survive as a Jew/Israeli"?

But kudos to you calling someone a racist, 'cause they don't agree with you. Mature and insightful. Is this how you fare in your life?

...perhaps not in the same numbers as Wednesday, but they do wave this flag every week...
So they have waved more when playing an Israeli team? Seems provocative to me.

It was expressly and exclusively members of the Green Brigade that carried out the incidents that have resulted in Celtic being fined by uefa?...that's a new one on me...the punishment dished out by uefa btw being primarily for a string of minor infractions such as letting off flares, fireworks, banners, chanting, some crowd disturbances when confronted by other fans ultras...hardly enemy of the states stuff...total about £180k...and any fans caught being bad bhoys are banned for life...also, the Green Brigade have today stated that they will pay any fine Celtic gets from uefa as a result of flying any illicit banners - hardly not caring about the club and its finances (and Police Scotland have confirmed that no crime under Scottish Criminal Law was broken by the Green brigade flying these flags)...and who, anywhere, actually understands the situation in that part of the world fully?...do you need a PHD in world affairs before you are qualified to form an opinion on this or any other complex situation...maybe that's why we're sitting by as a nation and watching what's happening in Syria without being more proactive...(sorry, I withdraw that opinion as I'm not in possession of all of the facts relating to that particular situation)
If you looked at the post I was replying to it was about that the Green Brigade wouldn't want to do anything to get the club in trouble. I was simply pointing out that in the past they have.

Of course you don't need a PHD to understand the situation but when you have got guys who cannot even spell a very public banner correctly, do you think they understand what they are holding the flags for? I'm not saying every one of them but I'm sure a huge amount are thinking "we are playing an Israeli team lets hold up an offensive flag". Surely even the most blinkered fan can see that?

...never been to a Celtic game in the Netherlands then?...NI flags, Rangers 'taps', the Billy Boys being chanted (even Celtic songs reworded by the Dutch tp parody the Celitc fans versions - pretty impressive stuff when you think about it)...them Dutch know their football and know what gets the opposition fans going...and Rangers fans not taking a political view...really?...I'm pretty sure I could do a google search and find an Israeli flag being held up by Rangers fans...more so at away games though...and it's because people are being killed on both sides,(but one side more than the other) that they are making this statement...ps...did you find my spelling mistakes?
Of course I haven't been to a Celtic game abroad, I am a Juve fan why would I go to one?

Where on earth do I say that Rangers fans are not political? Again my point re. Rangers was that I was replying to a Celtic fan about this situation and suggested that he look at it as if it didn't involve Celtic in order to be more objective. I would suggest you do the same.

I couldn't care less about your spelling, but surely you can appreciate that the Green Brigade have made spelling mistakes on their banners in the past. Which as a neutral fan is pretty amusing and backs up the response that we are not talking about particularly intelligent people here.

My point that I have been trying to make all along is that politics and football shouldn't mix. These are the rules set by UEFA, I strongly agree with them and Celtic broke them and as a result are likely to be punished.

It's clear we have different opinions, I don't really care about Celtic, you clearly do. I don't think we are going to agree and suggest we draw a line on a frankly boring issue and get back to talking about how Higuain is going to fire Juve to winning the CL.

Yeah I know that the hate Israel, but why are they in Europese competitions? If whole Europe hate the Netherlands and will not participate in European tournaments, will The Netherlands than participate by the North-American tournaments? No, because they aren't north American. I've no problem with them in UCL or EL but I understand if people are against them. Jewish people have also not a really good name here in NL, I don't know how it is in the rest of Europe.
I would have assumed it was the Muslims who didn't have a good name in the Netherlands seeing as the biggest political party there is basically an anti-islam party.

I remember Lazio fans holding up "Palestina Libera" banners once...I think they were playing against a Tottenham (traditional large Jewish fanbase and owners are Jewish)

Funny thing is, I reckon a lot of the hardcore fascist ultras would hate Muslims as much as Jews lol. Weird fucks.

The two aren't mutually exclusive :D
Muslims aren't popular aswell here, but that's for a reason. The most muslim people are poorly schooled so they have two choices. Or doing a job for minimum salary or going in the criminal sector. And if you can't speak Dutch very well, it's hard to get a job. The option is than to go in the criminal sector. Mostly Maroccan people are concerned by raids and other crimes. Most of the muslim people aren't bad people tho :D

I was in Amsterdam a few months ago; I know what the stereotype is there. Its the same in countries like France and Belgium where people's idea of Arabs/Muslims are from their experience with the mostly North/African Moroccan immigrants over there. I'm always advised by people there to be careful of Moroccans :D

Missed most of the conversation about Celtic, I'm gonna read it all later. For now I'll leave this here. If the mods want this chat moved let me know where to.

Celtic fans raise £85,000 'for Palestine' after Uefa charge

"This act of solidarity has earned Celtic respect and acclaim throughout the world. It has also attracted a disciplinary charge from Uefa, which deems the Palestinian flag to be an 'illicit banner'.

"In response to this petty and politically partisan act by European football's governing body we are determined to make a positive contribution to the game and today launch a campaign to #matchthefineforpalestine.

"We aim to raise £75,000 which will be split equally between Medical Aid Palestine and the Lajee Centre, a Palestinian cultural centre in Aida Refugee Camp on the outskirts of Bethlehem."

Celtic have been punished by Uefa eight times in five seasons for fan misconduct.

The club's case will be heard on 22 September.
So FUCKING proud of my club
