can someone knowledgeable tell me what we can realistically expect from this trial?
I can.

- We expect more and more posts from gsol, at the same time less and less posts from mbsol.
- We expect more rage from Turk, more hatred and more wasted energy.
- We expect more calls for Moggi to come back from Vinman.
- We expect more posts from members who find articles with flashy titles on Italian websites asking someone to please translate.
- We expect a bunch of Inter fans to register on this forum and thus causing more hatred and more rage from Turk.
- We expect lots and lots of pages with dreams and drooling in this thread.
- We expect lots of weird scenarios of Juventus getting more than half of the Inter squad.

Would you rather Juve got titles back and compensation or see Inter put through Serie B and at least two years without CL income?

I'm not sure, personally.
That's what I'd rather. Even if Inter were relegated there's no guarantee we'd challenge for the title.

FM is like Obama. Hopes and dreams, everything is possible, that whole thing.
I won the Champions League in the first season (this season in the real world) in FM 2010 without cheating.

The larger issue, which few seem to be talking about, is how Calciopoli completely changed the landscape in Serie A. The two titles we lost would have been a small thing provided we still had the old squad and could win two new ones pretty quick. It's almost like the demotion itself was the least of punishment, because we're now back and completely unable to reconquer the hill.

And that's something you can't restore with the old titles back, or even with Inter in B (although that would have a bigger impact).
Looking at a recent interview with Moggi's lawyer Prioreschi, he has highlighted the 'technical and economical' benefits that Inter have had from the sentencing in 2006, so it looks like it is an area they will focus on. He also believes that they have the 'smoking gun' so to speak, that can prove that the system was a general one.

Something big is going to explode in my pants if we get our titles back and compensation.

I haven't masturbated in years..."Saving up" for that special day to rain on all you pessimists that always said nothing would happen.

That's my 2 cents for the next 4 hours. Back to work ladies.

Capello: 'Those titles are Juve's'
Thursday 8 April, 2010
England manager Fabio Capello believes the two Scudetti he won while in charge of Juventus should be recognised.

One was revoked and given to Inter while the other went unattributed after the Calciopoli scandal emerged in 2006, which led to Capello's decision to leave Juventus as the club was relegated to Serie B.

New evidence from the Calciopoli trial in Naples alleges that Inter also tried to influence the selection of referees, prompting calls to revoke the 2005-06 Scudetto again.

Last night, Juventus asked that everyone be treated equal in the investigation. The implication was clear: the Bianconeri feel that they were dealt with in a harsher manner than the other parties involved.

The President of the FIGC, Giancarlo Abete, has promised to discuss whether their own Calciopoli investigation should be re-opened after the next hearing of the trial in Naples on Tuesday.

“Given the position that I occupy, I cannot consider it opportune to say anything,” Capello is quoted as saying in Tuttosport.

“But I repeat what I already said on more than one occasion. It's obvious that those Scudetti were won on the pitch,” he concluded.
