7mil pounds and we offer 5mil euros right? that means almost the half for a young and promising CB, they can find a load of times to offer the same cash and they might actually prefer someone else than the club that has "stolen" Mutu from them and refused to pay them tribute, they still hate us for that!
Hopefully, few teams would accept to pay Ivanovic salary and himself would prefer a strong team like Juve, our hopes lie there and if we insist, we might actually get him, i would be most pleased if this happen, a young quality defender was one of my priorities for this transfer season...:weee:

well you're right, but i have to say that i don't believe that 5m-thing. In fact, i think there's more than just secco behind this dude. Milan were mentioned earlier on, and also inter (who at this moment, don't have one single CB available), so i would be very surprised if we get him for something like 5m. Especially considering that young CBs are rare, and i still can't really believe that chelsea will let him go after one season; i mean it's chelsea, they surely don't need those 5 millions or his salary-money for one year. why don't they loan him out somewhere to a mid-table team. That's what every reasonable person will do. In the end i think he'll be going nowhere and it's just talks to get his price up.

yeah, it could be the case, it is actually very probable, since he is permanently benched, the only way to raise some interest on him, is some wild transfer rumors.
5 mil for a permanent deal seems quite unrealistic...

But if our men are really there, negotiating for him, then we have some real reasons to hope
and so many sources confirming this, would surely mean smth!!

well be carefu there... 'many sources'??? it's basically just the sun which threw out this figure and all the other newspapers and sites repeated that exact stuff the following day. There's no official statement from chelsea that they want to drop him, there's no official statement from our board that we're looking for him or for anyone else. Hell there is not even ivanovic's manager who steps up to fire up the talks, so i'd be careful with the 'many sources'. We're still far away in my opinion. I'd be glad if he comes, but don't get your hopes up too much because of a sun-article.

He takes too many needless chances at the back

He gives away silly fouls in and around the box - I remember at the beginning of last season he gave a penalty away in 3-4 consecutive matches

Very Clumsy

His crossing is poor

He's lazy

He's not a team player

He's only there for the money
