I still have the old blackberry (curve) and I heard the new ones are so fragile which I hate. I've had mind for about 2 years and kicked the crap out of it. If work didn't pay for the service I'd problably purchase one of those cheap 30buck unlimited talk text phones that only can work in a 100 km radius.

However; if i really wanted to waste money on a phone it prob would be an iphone

I had an 8320 and switched to the newer curve and its been great so far. The optical trackball is a MAJOR upgrade

GPS is sweet. But I can do without the internet connection. If I had internet on my phone I'd never get anything done.

My brother has the optical trackball he loves it. I always find those wheels are the first thing to go like the old mouse. However he has a BOLD and says the phone is so fragile.

Actually the Bold series from RIM is their best selling and highest quality build. It's BB's high end line of handsets crafted with leather and composite metal/plastic.

The Pearl and Curve are the low end fragile models. The Tour is second in line behind the Bold

Depends how you look at it. I enjoy checking my mail without having to sit on my PC/Laptop and return back home.
