Beckham To Land In Milan?
3/16/2005 3:49:00 PM
Speculation is rife about a possible transfer on loan of the Spice Boy from Real Madrid to Milan this summer.
Florentino Perez has already warned his players that there will be a revolution this summer, with many of the Galacticos being shown the door in June. One of these players will most likely be David Beckham who has never lived up to the hype that surrounded him on his arrival in Madrid.

The English national team captain’s most likely destination seems to be Italy, where Milan have a good relationship with Real and have been after the midfielder for some time. The Rossoneri would make a deal with the Spanish giants similar to the one they have with Chelsea for Hernan Crespo.

Beckham would in fact arrive on loan and Milan would pay the full wages of the player till June 2006. Then both clubs would meet to discuss a possible definite transfer of the player to Ancelotti’s side.

He hasn't played well in a long time. The move (and it doesn't seem a likely transfer to me) could really restart his career, but I suspect he'd just fade into insignificance. Wright-Phillips is already a better winger. Beckham's living on his reputation now.

As expected almost everyone gets completely carried away. Sure Beckham isnt as good as the hype. But your telling me Milan having Beckham even sitting on the bench is a good thing for Juve? Come on now.

Beckham is not a great, but he would still be in the top 5 right midfielders in Italy.

Ahh, no he wouldn't. I won't get into it though because you already know I don't think highly of him. I have seen at least 10 Real Madrid matches this season and Beckham has been nothing short of disapointing and maybe not worthy of playing for Real to a certain extent.

If Milan can land Beckham for a reasonable price then it might be a good move, especially for marketing purposes. However if you are planning to use Beckham as a replacement for Pirlo, in the defensive midfield slot, I advise you to rethink your plan. I really think Beckham is poor in the middle of the pitch.

i've been watching Real Madrid closely this season and i have to say i do agree with you on this one Beckham IMO is the 2nd most overrated player in the world ,and he's got nothing in football other than his crosses,he's almost as bad as Campbell at dribbling and he's slightly faster than Cygan.how bad can a player get:rolleyes:

Summary:Beckham is a terrible player,he's overrated just not as overrated as C.Ronaldo.

Name 5 better right midfielders in Italy?
    Did you edit that?

Camoranesi, Gattuso, Veron, Mancini, Sergio Volpi... the list can go on.

Of course some of the players I mentioned are not exactly right midfielders, but they play that role for their respective clubs.

And don't laugh about Sergio Volpi. He's such an underated player it's not even funny.

What do you mean I'm not into this one?

I seriously think all the players I listed are better than Beckham, at least from this season.

Hey even your better than beckham this season. Sometimes players make mistakes joining a certain league but they can turn it around again.
Actually the only player who might not have as much skill as Beckham is Sergio Volpi, however he really is underated. Have you ever seen the latter play? The only thing Beckham has going for him is the right peg.

    No I havent seen him.

Beckham has more than just freekicks, he is the greatest crosser in the world perhaps. Think back to becks at MU, he would cross from his own half and set players up perfectly. He almost single handedly won leagues. He was brilliant.

Hes also very hardworking, he dosent suit madrid or spain at all. But put becks into a milan-juve game or the like and he will shine every time.

I think he would be good in italy and you could be eating the old humble pie :D

Look how much he has done for both MU and England in the past. Overrated yes, but a good player nontheless.

He seems to be improving, from what I've read in the press....after uero 2004 he got screwed (rightfully) because of his FKs, but now they seem dangerous
