I think Barella should be the one to start on bench actually, he seemed gassed against Spain after like half an hour and had a couple of very bad giveaways.

Belotti is hopeless, he has a mean shot in him and a lot of workrate, but that's about it, I'm certain Immobile will start the final. I'm hoping for:

Veratti-Jorgino-Loca
Chiesa-Immobile-Insigne
Probably if Barella goes on the bench (don't think he will) he would be replaced by Pessina.

Jorginho, Locatelli, and Verratti is a bit redundant.

I have to say I'm confident for this match. The main thing that makes me doubt is that its played in Wembley without our fans. Big advantage for England, yet not enough imo.

After seeing us play so many different types of games: "easier" group stage matches, very physical austria, ball dominating spain, technical and experienced belgium, and coming out on top of all that I'm confident.

The team has shown the ability to win beautifully and also to win while suffering. The defense has been excellent, Donnarumma has been excellent, so it gives a comforting safety net. We'll always find ways to score with Chiesa and co.

I suppose the Netherlands (for the same reason). Although go back a few hundred years and the "Princes' Flag" did have an orange band on it, which was then replaced with the red band of the "state's flag".

Edit: Also Australia (yellow/green) because they are national colours.

And New Zealand (black/white). I didn't actually know the story why black was so important for them: https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/olymp...sports-teams-wear-black-and-when-did-it-start

The NZ football team wear an inverted white kit to become the "All Whites".

Japan wear blue for superstitious purposes, they played a game or tournament way back in the day (can't remember when or what it was) and did well so ended up with the nickname Blue Samurai. After that it largely stuck, although over the years they have also worn a lot of white kits with blue or red, there was a red kit with white. White and red often tends to be part of the away kit.

Lol at Immobile's mental number. Better decisions Ciro please and use that left foot when you get a chance. A right footed one might never come! Guess Emerson physically not there from not playing much but is there any other player to sub in other than Tolio, though he went to right back. Figuring Florenzi still not well enough to come in as sub? And going by chart if Italy winning I think decision has to be made is a tired Chiellini better than a fresh sub?
