Balo did well, I don't know what else you wan't him to do. Last two subs were due to injury, I can't really see what was wrong with them either.
I thought Balotelli was quite good. For a 21 year old in a pressure packed situation, he handled himself well. Was dialed in to the game today, much more focused, worked hard for 120 minutes, was still dangerous after 90, still had a spring in his step. He's a necessary reference point up front, they need that physicality.
Finishing on the day wasn't great, obviously, but he took his PK well. Movement up front was good, several very nice runs - ridiculous passes, Pirlo was unbelievable today - too bad Balo's first (and second) touch let him down at times. He's a specimen though, guy has a frame that could translate to the NFL, is already an explosive player. It's going to be fun to watch him develop, that potential is through the roof.
Must start. This guy is a thoroughbred, once he gets his head straight...
I like Cassano, but I think he should be an impact sub next game; he had a rough day, gifted possession away far too often. I would actually like to see Giovinco, but I don't think Prandelli trusts him; I do feel they need that creative element up front. Frustrating that Borini is on the team, would have loved to see Matri on this Azzurri club, he would be useful in the second half of some of these games when Balotelli needs a rest. Just so happy to see our boys kicking ass, especially Bonucci - very happy for him - this is all very good for Juventus.
Also thought that Montolivo was better than usual, worked fairly hard, a couple nice passes. If Motta is healthy, Ricky Ricardo should hit the bench. Actually, with Diamanti healthy, he should hit the bench.
Gigi Buffon, il capitano, what a legend. Wicked glove save, I thought I was watching a hockey game for a second, great rebound control too. Then Cashley straight shit himself on that PK - welcome to the Buffon mindfuck!
