He's 100% correct. Platini's 5 yrs were the best in history of the club. Just based on that alone it's utterly ridic to compare the two. Platini retired at Juve while Vidal left unceremoniously to win CL at "bigger" club. He showed he still has feels for Juve after and that makes things better but doesn't make him a legend. And he had 3 great yrs btw, not 4.

He's more than welcome back for cheap. Would easily slot in in starting XI, and in following yrs, can be a very useful good, eclectic sub.
Not only is zidanes time here not 100 times better than vidals, it's the latter who had the clearly better stint.

vidal is a alcoholic retard. if people consider him as juve icon i consider Henry and van der Sar as Juve legends, too.

Vidal never had ballon dor level stint for us, Zidane did.

Normally I see people stuck in the past saying Davids > Vidal. This is the opposite, more unusual, both wrong.
That's why it's not that great a method for defining legends.
Juve legends dont go to two different teams and spend every day since praising how bayern was the club of their big team!

Vidal was the best b2b midfielder in the world when he was here. He did the work of 2 midfielders, and still scored, assisted and took our penalties. Of course he was never going to win Ballon d’Or. Ronaldo and Messi are the only players to win since 2008. You have to win CL or World Cup to win over those two aliens. That’s how Modric won in 2018. And even then it was given to a creative midfielder. Unless you are a goal scorer or creative midfielder you will never win. Criticizing Vidal for not winning Ballon d’Or is like criticizing Buffon for not winning it, or for that matter it’s like criticizing Buffon for not winning CL. It’s a bad take and is ridiculous to even suggest. And to call Vidal an alcoholic retard is making a football debate personal. You might as well criticize Platini for being a corrupt scandal magnet after his playing career.

Considering the price we sold him for, I always felt Vidal was forced out. He's definitely a Juventus legend. He and Pirlo were the ones mostly responsible for the Juve Renaissance which got us out of our Dark Age.

Did we even get the chance to vote on this? Pretty sure the majority here would consider him a legend.

definitely a legend for me, he was a fighter like mario and he left a gap in our midfield, that has never been filled since (replaced with khedira... lol)

would take him back in a heartbeat. He stil has Juventus tattooed on his arm.

Wouldnt look Vidals way if I were you.

You’re trying to lower the age of your squad and bring in hungry young players. Getting rid of Matuidi, Khedira and so for bringing in another 33 year old is just one step forward and another back.

Vidal is still good and he was one of my favorite players while at bayern, but sometimes you just gotta let things go.

We sold him 2015 (for peanuts) because we believed he was past his prime yet 5 years later he still plays +30 games for an elite club putting up great numbers. Forcing Vidal out for nothing was a sad mistake

Would love to have him here back after enduring matuidi for so long... the problem is that much of what made vidal the player he was, was his physique.... and his prime years physically are long gone.

Yes it was a mistake back in 2015, no doubt

But buying the guy in 2020 wont solve the issues in your midfield[/QUOTE]

I'd think he would had been in our starting lineup the past 5 years tbh.

Considering the players we're aiming for this season, he'll still be a starter if we sign him now.
