Bottom line is that he can't defend, so there is no way he will ever be a regular starter in any midfield position under Allegri.
We need to cut our losses and move on.
Thats BS, he held his own last year if you actually watched him play. Maybe he's not big and strong but neither is Verratti or Jorginho.

Arthur averaged as many interceptions and tackles per game as McKennie last year. I wouldn’t say he’s Jorginho or Verratti, but I wouldn’t say he can’t defend either. When he was playing pivot at Gremio he averaged over 2 interceptions per game, which is well above average.

I watched every single match he played for us. Saying he can't defend is of course exaggerated, but you have to agree his defensive positioning and awareness is poor. And I think last season showed it is certainly not good enough for the regista position when we get hit on the counter. His work rate is also average at best. Allegri wants his LCM/RCM to make forward runs and attack the box, and most of the games we played under Allegri we defended 4-4-2, so if he plays the LCM his defensive position will be LM. Then he will be have to always track back and follow his man. Do you see him as that type of player? If he somehow made that up with his offensive skills, but he made 0 assists last year. I agree he is almost impossible to take the ball from, but I just don't think that is enough for him to ever become a starter under Allegri. Look at how we play now, possession is just not that important to Allegri. That is why I rather we just move on and sell him, and then get the type of players Allegri wants.

Those who have some form of hope for this guy are fooling themselves. It's only a matter of a few matches until he's rightly hated on again. At this moment expectations are at the lowest, but it won't remain that way.

Sell ASAP for a mid-low table Brittish team. The sooner Juve cut losses, the better. Guy is totally heartless and lungless. He's huffing and puffing 5 mins after he gets in, is extremely slow. He's deceiving as he seems athletic, but he isn't athletic t all. He's very slow to react.

Sell, give up for free, I don't care. Good look trying to find an idiotic team to equal his current wages.

Allegri: "Arthur grew a lot. It's already a lot of months that he's not playing. He played part of a few games and step by step I will increase his minutes so that he can become a starter. He allows us to play faster and more vertical"

Who is right?

Mister Allegri, or people like:
- IlCapitano
- Boksic
- zizinho

Got to say his passing is much more improved under Allegri. That vertical pass to Cuadrado is something you won't see last season.
No, his passing hasn't magically gotten better. Allegri and Pirlo play in two different ways. While Allegri wants to play direct Pirlo wants to play possession football and move the ball from side to side. Pirlo never asked Arthur to play more vertically, he asked him and the midfield to move the ball fast. That's why he was screaming 'veloce, veloce' all game.

he did though, I remember him talking about it and how Arthur was used to playing more of a short game at Barca.

Gives is some stability in midfield, yes inter sat back towards the end but we control the midfield better when we have a player with his composure on the ball.
